End cell phone plan frustration today with NET10

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was supposed to meet up with someone earlier but it didn’t happen. Why? Because the person in question has a volatile cell phone plan that is on one minute and off the next. It makes trying to plan and organize any type of meetup quite frustrating.

So when I, quite coincidentally, found out about NET10′s plan tonight, needless to say it was like putting a pail of oats in front of a starving horse.

Here is how it works:

  • Net10 Unlimited gives you nationwide coverage and unlimited talk, text, and data, for $50 a month. Or, in other words, for just a bit more than a couple of supreme pizzas and an order of breadsticks, you can have unlimited phone service each month. Not bad.
  • But if $50 is too much, no problem. NET10 also has the Easy Minutes Plus, an automatic minutes plan that starts at $15.00 for 200 minutes; or you can do the Pay-As-You-Go Plans, in which your minutes carry over with active service.
  • You can also switch between plans each month to suit your budget and airtime needs, without penalties or fees; plus, airtime can be purchased online, at a nearby store, or directly from your phone.
  • Also, there are no contracts, no surprise bills and no credit checks.
  • From everything I have heard, NET10 provides great nationwide coverage and excellent reception/connectivity. (As an AT&T iPhone user myself, I can attest to the importance of this!)

But the truth of the matter is that I have not used NET10′s service first hand. Like I said, after my misadventure tonight, I found this sponsored post opportunity almost by serendipity. Frustrated yet hopeful, here am I posting.

So take my word with several grains of salt, but pay close attention to the words of actual NET10 customers:

My job was to let you know that NET10 exists and to encourage you to give them a fair shot. Now it’s up to you. Considering my issues from today, I think anyone who is less than 100% satisfied with their cellphone service should not even be reading this now because they’ve already clicked away to NET10. Phone service is never easy; NET10 actually sounds like the rare company with whom it might be.

I used to use Net10 and I did like them. :) However, my brother was using Fuzion Mobile and I tried them and ultimately switched. There's something about working with a smaller company that seems to offer similar services and great prices, but has awesome customer service. Also, Fuzion is an American based company. I like supporting our local economy. :)
