The motto for the Bulls’ first three games of their first sound series has consistently been “A win is a win.” And while that attitude may be enough to squeak by the Pacers with a sweep, it definitely won’t work next round against the Magic or Hawks.
Going into Game 4 and beyond, the Bulls have some lessons to learn.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we unveil the first MLB Trivia Challenge Podcast sponsored by the M&A consultants and advisors at Generational Equity, and there are multitudes of reasons for the excitement.
First off, we love baseball here at MSF, and this podcast, which was inspired by Jayson Stark’s weekly appearances on ESPN Radio, is going to be a great biweekly feature on the site for all of the fellow baseball lovers out there.
Secondly, there are prizes! We are going to be able to reward one weekly winner with a $20 gift certificate to Chili’s each week, and at the end of the season we are going to be giving one grand prize winner an iPad and a subscription to MLB.tv for 2012.
And thirdly, specific to this week, one of the most well known and controversial moments in MSF history (a result of this article) will come full circle as Ken Rosenthal joins me and Ari on the first MLB Trivia Challenge Podcast.
This will be fun.

It took longer than fans and players had hoped, but the Chicago Blackhawks won their first game of the series Tuesday night with a 7-2 blowout. It was very reminiscent of the 7-1 victory over Vancouver all the way back on November 20th and of the offensivee strength of last season.
But is it too early to talk about or consider a comeback?

When the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced its 2011 class a couple weeks ago, ESPN’s John Hollinger tweeted, “I give up. Congrats if you got in and all, but I’m not sure we’d do much worse just picking random names out of a hat.”
The 2011 Naismith inductees comprise one of the most underwhelming Hall of Fame classes in any major sport, ever.

As you know, we recently launched our Today’s Best series, which features a photo of an attractive woman at the beginning of every post. Someone whose opinion I respect greatly told me she thought it objectified women and did not reflect favorably on me as a person and a blogger.
As I said, I respect her opinion, so I changed the title of the section from the flippant “Eye Candy” to the more respectful “Today’s Best Beauty”, and I plan to always include only tasteful photos in that section. That seems like a reasonable compromise to me.
Plus, what I don’t she realizes is that the very first image ever published on the Worldwide Web “objectified” women.

ESPN deserves plenty of criticism for a variety of things, and they get plenty of it around these parts, but the network is the so-called “Worldwide Leader” because, in its heart of hearts, there is a genuine love for sport.
This can sometimes be difficult to see through the smoke of constant self-promotion but is most evident during ESPN’s consistently compelling show E:60. The latest example of this is a story called “Mumbai Masters: A look at how golf is played in Mumbai, India”.

Editor’s note: Amanda Lawson is a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan who is getting into baseball for the first time this year. After much deliberation and counsel, Amanda settled on the Minnesota Twins as her team. With “Beginning Baseball” Amanda is documenting her first season of baseball fandom.
Let’s take a look at the AL Central standings:
Ummm…This is not right.
At the end of the 2010 season, the Minnesota Twins were at the top of the AL Central. The Indians and Royals rounded out the bottom. In the words of the great Vince Lombardi…

Update: Two people with knowledge of the situation tell the Washington Post that the Vikings are "indeed" one of the teams interested in Donovan McNabb. Reports are that McNabb wants to play in Minny, but there had not been any reports that the Vikes were actually interested. No team is going to trade for McNabb.

The NBA Playoffs started this weekend, and basketball fans were treated to a series of outstanding games. As Steve recounted last night, the pinnacle of opening weekend craziness occurred Sunday afternoon when the top two seeds in the Western Conference fell on their home floors.
A terrific round of Game 1s was marred by only one thing, the one thing that often mars otherwise great NBA competition: officiating. In particular, there were two calls in late Sunday games – one in the New York-Boston game and one in the OKC-Denver game – that were simply unconscionable, and both had huge impacts on who won and who lost.

Grady Sizemore returned to the Indians’ starting lineup for the first time Sunday after having mircrofracture surgery on his knee. Grady hit leadoff and went 2-4 with a double and had a solo home run.
Michael Brantley, who had been hitting leadoff all year, was benched so Sizemore could get the start. This switch was announced before the game and some fans and radio personalities weren’t pleased by the move.
