February was dominated by announcements rather than releases (unless you are Radiohead), but will probably be best remembered for this year’s Grammys.

As usual the Grammy’s had some spectacular and unusual performances, topped by the Cee-Lo – Gwyneth Paltrow – Fraggle Rock performance of “F*** You” and Lady Gaga’s performance of her new single as well as her entrance to the award show in an egg.

The biggest surprise of the Grammy’s was definitely Arcade Fire pulling off the upset for Album of the Year for “The Suburbs”, even though they lost the Best Alternative Album Grammy to The Black Keys, who walked away with three awards for their latest album “Brother”.

Fantasy Baseball Sleepers: Drew Stubbs, Freddie Freeman, Sean Rodriguez, and J.P. Arencibia

Fantasy baseball championships are not often determined early in drafts. So long as you draft a solid, proven performer with each of your first few picks – and so long as those guys stay relatively healthy – you will be in good shape to compete. But then again, so will most of your leaguemates.

Where you can really get a leg up on the other managers in your league, and where championships can be won or lost, is late in the draft. If you can find a way to draft a guy who provides 2nd or 3rd round value in the 10th round, you will be at a huge advantage.

In the post, we highlight a few hitters whose ultimate value could far exceed the draft slot where you’d have to take them: OF Drew Stubbs, 1B Freddie Freeman, and 2B Sean Rodriguez.

This Week’s Evidence Joey Brackets Doesn’t Watch College Hoops

With Championship Week on the horizon, we’re in for an unhealthy dose of ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi.  While the Worldwide Leader would have you believe Joey Brackets is the preeminent expert in this field, my weekly analysis of his projections has provided no shortage of evidence to the contrary.

This week’s bracket is no exception, with some questionable teams and seedings in the field.  Consider this breakdown a public service to keep you from being led astray when Lunardi’s brilliance is rammed down your throat next week.
