Tonight, Christina Aguilera will be singing the National Anthem before kickoff of Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. (As soon as I can get video up of the performance, I’ll post it here.)

I'm appalled at the disrespectful performance. If you're going to sing the National Anthem, learn the melody and words. She may only be human, but not many humans get paid the amount of money that she probably was paid to do a hatchet job. The hockey player from Chicago who's probably Canadian did a much better job in the pre-season game

Yes, it was unfortunate that she messed up the lyrics. I wonder how many people actually recognized it, besides from the few comments on here. Either way, she did do a great job continuing on, as I bet she was aware of her mistake as it happened. Acknowledge the negative, but also focus on the positive…because she can't go back and change it!
What a shamefull mess made of our National Anthem! Horrible and totally disrespectful rendition sung in this way by a cheap looking over- bleached bimbo who had no feelings for the words or the song, just loved being the center of attention. Carrie Underwood or Julianne Hough…, now that would have been class!

watch the girl charice at 16 sang the star spangled banner during the dodger game. she sang it simply with no theatrics but it came out beautiful. it was just splendid. this is how a national antem should be sung….
