Every big time sporting event needs a theme song. A song that captures the captures the essence and intensity of the event and the sport itself.

So far I’ve seen partisan songs from Steelers fans and Packers fans, but I have yet to hear one unifying song that all NFL fans can stomp their feet to and bob their heads to as we all get jacked up for Sunday night.

Until now.

Which lovely ladies high profile athletes are and are not dating is always big news. When it’s Super Bowl time, when even the most insignificant stories are magnified ten-fold, we cannot help but pay attention to the arm candy of high profile players involved in The Big Game.

Last year, the ubiquitous Kim Kardashian was the highest profile WAG* at Super Bowl XLIV. At that time, she was dating Saints RB Reggie Bush. The two have since split, but not before Kardashian parlayed the relationship into an even more inexplicably high profile than she already had.

This year, the most prominent WAG is Jessica Szohr, who is currently dating Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. She is apparently on the show Gossip Girl, though I had never heard of her before the stories began breaking that she and Rodgers were an item.

The question I pose to you, dear reader, is which Super Bowl arm candy do you prefer: past Super Bowl WAG Kim Kardashian or current Super Bowl WAG Jessica Szohr?

This year’s Super Bowl is expected to be nothing short of exciting. Two teams, playing their best football and better football than anyone else in the NFL, will meet on the biggest stage in Dallas.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were the AFC’s #2 seed, earning them a bye for the first week of the playoffs. They defeated the Baltimore Ravens 31-24 in the Divisional round and the New York Jets 24-19 in the AFC Championship game.

The Green Bay packers were the NFC’s #6 seed, and have won all three of their games on the road in the playoffs. They defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 21-16 in the Wild Card round, the Atlanta Falcons 48-21 in the Divisional round and the Chicago Bears 21-14 in the NFC Championship game.

This Week’s Evidence Joe Lunardi Does Not Watch College Hoops

Let me preface this with a couple points:

First, it needs a better title.

Second, I would kill for Joe Lunardi’s job.  (For legal reasons, I must point out the previous sentence was a figure of speech in case anything happens to him).  As far as I can tell, his “job” is to watch and analyze college basketball for the sole purpose of creating a bracket once a week.  Let’s just say this would be a significant upgrade over my current position.

However, because of my respect for the game, some of Joe’s most recent teams and seeds have me wondering if he is actually watching the games.

Cleveland State

“A tradition unlike any other” takes place the weekend of Feb 18-20. Well, okay, not to the level or history of The Masters, but ESPN’s Bracketbusters has been one effort the “four letter” seems to have gotten right this decade.
