Manifestos get a bad rap.

Probably because this guy wrote one and another one invented Communism.

But don’t worry; you will enjoy this manifesto. You won’t be getting any strange packages in the mail and the KGB won’t be knocking on your door. Nope, this manifesto is about something actually, well, awesome: the new NBA Jam.

Update: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won the 2010 AP Offensive Player of the Year Award.

Fantasy Impact: It is no surprise Tom Brady took home this award. He tore up defenses and conducted his team to a 14-2 regular season record. Brady also won the MVP of the league. Look for Brady to do the same thing next season, as they try to get their revenge on their bitter rival the New York Jets.

Go where no workout has taken you before.

It’s been a while since I have let out my inner sultriness. In fact, the last time was almost a year ago when I attempted a swing around a shiny pole during a pole dancing class at Move Studio in Dallas, TX. And let me tell you, I felt like the exact opposite of a sexpot. In fact, I felt like an uncoordinated, graceless sloth trying to get my feet off the ground during a swing.

With 2011 rolling on, I realized I was slouching into my fitness comfort zone and it was time to truly step outside the walls of the aerobics studio and shake what my mama gave me – which is quite a lot. So I thought “what better way to shake it up” than to throw on some heels and hit up Centre for Dance in Dallas!

Pouncey to practice Thurs & Fri

Update: Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) plans to practice by Thursday or Friday, and now predicts there is a "75 percent chance" he will play in the Super Bowl. "I'm definitely not going to count that young man out," coach Mike Tomlin added.

Fantasy Impact: Pouncey is no longer in a hard cast and is showing progress.  It would be a miracle if he actually played given the past reports, but we will find out soon enough.

Hanie to stay in Chicago

Update: Bears GM Jerry Angelo confirmed that quarterback Caleb Hanie's stock "went up in our eyes" after his performance in the NFC Championship game. "He showed poise. You want to look for that at the quarterback position," said Angelo.

Fantasy Impact: Hanie is going to be a restricted free agent this offseason, but look for the Bears to tender him and keep him as Jay Cutler's backup.

Packers would offer Favre job

Email Post Email Post

Update:  The USA Today is reporting that Packers President Mark Murphy indicated that the team would welcome Brett Favre back into a role with the franchise to restore relations between the two sides. "At the appropriate time, we'll reach out to him," Murphy said. "And I envision he'll come back into the fold."

Fantasy Impact: Favre isn't going to work in the Packers front office given he has a bad relationship with GM Ted Thompson.  He may get some cake job with the organization just so the Packers can save face and bring him back in the fold.

Kolb wants out of Philly

Email Post Email Post

Update:  Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb reiterated Tuesday that he "just wants to start somewhere."

Fantasy Impact:  Kolb has not demanded a trade out of Philly, but it seems like just that.  Michael Vick will get the franchise tag, and will make upwards of $20 million next season.  Kolb is going to be the backup at best, but look for Philly to seriously considering dealing him.
