Sanchez won’t have surgery

Update: The New York Post is reporting that Jets QB Mark Sanchez revealed Thursday night that he will not require surgery on his throwing shoulder this offseason.

Fantasy Impact: Sanchez dodges a bullet here, and should be fine for training camp.  At such a young age he didn't want to start having his shoulder going under the knife so this is good news.

Of course we love Pritchard, and he’s our guy; but let’s just say that his career in Cream and Crimson has not been filled with highlight reel plays.

Last night though, in front of a raucous Assembly Hall crowd, Pritchard delivered one of the college basketball highlights of the year while leading his team to a big win over 20th-ranked Minnesota.

Every year, there are several players who never meet their fantasy potential, and these players can ruin a fantasy season when they are taken too high.

Busts always damage hopes of a championship, whether it’s: the usual suspects (guys like Jimmy Rollins, who always seem to let down their owners; the one-year wonder (guys like Ben Zobrist, who only seemed destined for great things; or the power hitter who goes into the huge slump (think Carlos Peña).

This year, there are several players who fantasy owners should stay away from.  These are just a few of them (click here for the complete list):

You’ve seen James Harrison’s sarcastic description of how wanted to lay the Packers out…err, down, on pillows; you’ve seen Big Ben trying to do his Affable Quarterback impression; and you’ve seen Hines Ward bristle at being asked about his late night activities on Monday.

But do you know how Steelers players deal with having to wizz during games? Do you know what Hines Ward’s teammates think he will do after he retires? Do you know what Rashard Mendenhall was doing here? And, naturally, do you know what a fish without an eye is?

After you watch this video, via YardBarker’s TGI Sunday Super Bowl XLV coverage, you will the know to answers to all of those questions…and more:
