I’ve spent a lot of my Internet time over the past few days being serious, and there is only so much serious I can take.
Whether it was discussing matters of extreme importance like Jim Caldwell’s job security, or basically writing my own personal IU Basketball Fan Manifesto in this rebuke of Tom Crean, I’ve published a whole lot of serious, analytical words on the Interwebs the last few days. Well, I need a break.
That is why today’s content from me features a ridiculous pair of tweets from Colts owner Jim Irsay, my nomination for Chicago Sports Metaphor of the Year, and now the video you’re about to watch below.
This is not a new video, nor is it obscure (100,000+ views), so it’s quite possible you’ve seen it already. It was written and performed by the well known comedy troupe Summer of Tears. I had not until today though, and it made me laugh out loud a few times before eliciting a giant WTF towards the end. And if that’s not a formula for needing to be re-posted here for your work procrastination purposes, I don’t know what is.
Final note before you watch this: for any current or soon-to-be parents in our audience, MSF absolutely does not endorse any of these parenting methods.
