NFC Championship Game: Chicago Bears v Green Bay Packers Point Spread, Over-Under, TV Info, Announcers

For a sports blog focused on the Midwest, as we obviously are, there simply is not another conference championship matchup that could possibly measure up to the drama, intrigue, and history of this one.

The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have the longest-running rivalry in the NFL, but now the rivalry goes somewhere it has never gone before: deciding who will play in the Super Bowl.

I can’t wait. We’ll have plenty of previews and analysis coming for you this week, but here’s a quick and dirty look at all the basic information you need to know as you plan next Sunday.

NFC Championship Game: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

  • Bears-Packers Date: Sunday, January 23rd
  • Bears-Packers Kickoff Time: 3:00 PM ET
  • Bears-Packers TV: FOX
  • Bears-Packers Announcers: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman
  • Bears-Packers Point Spread: Packers -3

  • Martin

    I'm excited. Go Bears!!!

  • drasai888

i think greenbay going to win lol

  • MCannon

    GO BEARS

  • Darren

Give me a break you played Seatle… lol

  • Hurl Slacker Sux

Cutler Sucks! LOL Lovie's worst nightmare he will be saying at the podium "They are who we thought they where and we let them off the hook"" Ala Denny! Green. GBAY SUPERBOWL CHAMPS 4 STRAIGHT, starting this year.

  • StrangerRick

Be afraid Bears, be very, very afraid. Cutler checks under his bed every night for… Clay Matthews.

  • Leah

Ya better watch out, ya better not cry, cuz Rodgers is coming to the Shy!! GO GREEN BAY……. Rodgers cant handle this!!

  • jj111

No, pretty sure the Bears are not very afraid. Rodgers comes down to earth this week with another game like his masterful 10 point output in the last game of the season. Not worried. Bears by 9.

  • Leah

I meant… Rodger CAN handle this!!

  • Digger

10 points still beat the Bears.

  • tom

was that the same game where cutler had his masterful 3 point output?

  • JSF

Over these many years, Packer and Bear fans can all agree on one thing…….THE BEARS STILL SUCK!!!!

  • Kat

I'm glad the Bears fans are sticking to the facts and just cheering on their team. Green Bay fans, please don't become total jerks like Philly fans. It's beneath even you.
Prediction: Bears by 7. Cuter shows up, Rogers is contained by Bears amazing D.

  • Forbes

    hahaha

  • A.j.

We can all agree that this will be a crazy game! But I know the Bears will body slam the Fudge Packers!

  • Baalman

The packers are getting their running game going starks looking very well. .cutter can't handle Matthews and Williams packers. By. 7 points

  • DaCoach

Rogers peaked too early. Julius Peppers will eviserate the pocket and Aaron will be back to old interception happy self. The fraud that is James Starks will have is usual 23 yard rushing day. Packers will break the penalty record they set at Soldier Field during their first loss to the bears and, of course, Mason Crosby will choke. Bears by 17.

  • Dakota

Green Bay can and will win this one, unless Cutler has the game of his life. Possible but hardly probable. Now I hear Bret Farve may be available for next years campaign. Go NFC Central!

  • Landon

when has Aaron ever been interception happy???? That's cutler finishing last season with the same amount of touchdowns to interceptions…Come on Man!!

  • landon

Will you bet your life on it? Tell me your address and phone number if you're willing to back up your words.

  • Paul Bunyan

Why do we have to have that no talent Aikman again. Master of the obvious!

  • Unknown

Aikmen and Buck are lucky for us. We've had em the last 4 weeks. What's our win streak? FOUR!

  • Burgie

If Chicago is so good why do you all have to come to N. Wisconsin to have fun. We both have great fans it's just that GB fans are not arrogant. Monday the only thing said in IL. is WHAT HAPPENED?? Packers in the SB

  • Da Bears

this is as pathetic as one can assume a stereotypical fudge packer to be. go hump a doorknob you arrogant asshole

  • Da Bears

yes, simple research would show that in the scrimmage game the bears put up 3 points

  • Da Bears

I am totally laughing out loud. Radical dude

  • Da Bears

really, im pretty sure that the comment you just made as a GB fan was pretty arrogant

  • Bob

IM a big sports fan but IM not in favor of either team and what Green Bay had to do to come to this match up in Chicago is almost impossible and if the other shoe was on the other foot the bears couln't have done that. IM a betting man but favor neither team so IM betting for Green Bay to beat the spread. I have the Pack 32 chicago 17. Reason being: I don't think Jay Cutler can pass a ball with out throwing at least two pics a game, he did last week to a bad football team. Secondly, Arron Rodgers gets rid of the ball to quickly to his receivers. He may get sackes maybe twice by Chicago, but Jay Cutler will get sacked at least 5 times in this game and Yes!!! He will fumble the ball. If the Bears can run the ball 40 times against the Pack, they have a good chance of winning, IF NOT, and you play a fast passing game Green Bay wins easily. You heard it here first but good luck to both teams.

  • Vandy from Barnes

As Brett Favre said in todays paper, there is not a better quarter back or better team out there than the Packers. The Bears will look like Atlanta. But being from WI. and if the Bears win Sunday I will support them 100% in the SB. I don't think there is a Bear fan out there that will say that if the Packers are in the SB. To bad so sad

  • Kdogg

I live on the border of Illinois/Wisconsin and that bars are going to be crazy. Can't wait til the game ! :) PS: Go BEARS

  • melissa

superbowl here we come!!! for any of you that think chicago will win you are high ha, please share. come on packers are hot this year. clay matthews and rodgers got it under control. cutler dont cry too hard your mom still loves you!!!

  • thekidd

When have Green Bay fans ever been jerks? What I like to hear are the Bears fans saying that the Bears did not really care if they won or lost the last game against Green Bay. Find it a little odd the Lovie Smith would keep his starters in the entire game. Bears were trying to win that game, they failed. This game is the tie breaker, I think it will be a good one I just wish Bears fans would appreciate the game for what it is, not what the outcome will be.

  • Aaron

"CANT WAIT" (BART SCOTT) This should be a good game but no one will be able to stop Aaron Rodgers face it he is a difference maker. And packers defence will shut down anything the bears have to offer…

  • seabass

If the Packers are so good why are the Bears the champs of the division? Why did the Bears win more Games. Why are the Bear playing at Home?

Knowing that how can anyone say that the Packers are better. They were NOT better this year, its a fact, look a the record.

Its the most evenly matched game in a long time.

This Bears team has been the most disrespected team I can ever remember. There have been teams with this same record that were put on a pedestal as fantastic. I just don't get it.

    Bears by 3

  • Bret

Run are run, but you can't hide…..He may have escaped in Atlanta, but has not tasted the turf he will once Peppers and Urlacher get ahold of him….then he will be running "FOR HIS LIFE" and the passing game will not be so easy then. Welcome to Chicago—– O'Cheeseheads

  • Paul

    Da Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • paul

    SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Packerfan

Early on injuries caused the Packers some problems in the beginning, but now they are in true form.. Too bad you only look at numbers on a piece of paper and are incapable of thinking critically.

  • Baalman

The reason bears had a better record is. Rogers had a concussion didn't play for two games and they lost both games. Maybe they would won them are it doesn't matter. What matters is packers are going the super bowl. Bears fans always have excuses

  • Baalman

    Packers NFC CHAMPS BEARS SUCK

  • Ray

No offensive line to give Cutler protection and him not having anyone to pass to how can the Da Bears win?
