Update:
Jaguars offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter tells Mark Long of the Associated Press that “[Doctors] told Maurice Jones-Drew going into this year that [his injured] knee may not hold up. It’s really remarkable that he put up the numbers that he did and ran the way he did for as long as he did.”
Fantasy Impact:
Jones-Drew did not start the season with a lot of promise. He was not running the ball with the power that he had in past seasons. Drew came on later in the season and started to run the way he always did, and the Jags record was benefitting from it. This latest news is not good for the Jags as they are fighting for their first division championship. Without drew, hope will be dwindling to win the division or do anything at all in the playoffs if they do make it.
