I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed watching some pretty good football game, but now it’s back to the Sunday tradition, and this Sunday we have a fantastic game with the Philadelphia Eagles (7-3) taking on the Chicago Bears (7-3).

Both teams are coming off a win, but the early edge has to go to Chicago as they are coming off a 10-day break after shutting out the Miami Dolphins last Thursday. The Eagles are coming off an impressive win against the Giants, and Michael Vick has looked unstoppable this whole season.

This game is very interesting because of how well the Bears defense is playing compared to how well the Eagles offense is playing. The No.2 offense is playing the No.1 defense when it comes to points scored and points allowed.

Something has to give.

michael-vick-injury-updateIt all comes down to Chicago’s ability to limit Vick as much as possible so that their offense, which has trouble scoring, can get enough points on the board to come out with a victory. I am suspecting that Vick is going to have some success against the Bears because he’s had no problem scoring against every other team he’s played, but to what extent is really hard to guess.

The Eagles defense is good enough to limit Jay Cutler’s success, though Cutler is beginning to understand and trust Mike Martz’s system. We still havent seen the offense in full gear, and if it hasn’t come this late in the season, when will it? Also, the Eagles lead the league with 26 takeaways, which can’t be dismissed and is almost always the difference maker in games like this.

What I think this game will come down to is the Bears defense. I can’t stress the importance of them having a good game; otherwise, I suspect they won’t come out as the winner.

The defensive line needs to step up their pressure and linebackers Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs need to keep their eyes on Vick as well as any receivers coming across the middle. It’s a daunting task, but one that needs to be done in order to give the Bears the best opportunity to pull the upset Sunday afternoon.

As for Vick, what can I say? Is there nothing this guy can’t do? He’s been the best story this year in the NFL. Week after week it’s the same performance. This is Philadelphia’s game to win, and it will rest on Vick’s shoulders. So far this season, he’s shown that he can handle that responsibility with great poise and leadership.

It’s going to be a close game, but I see Philadelphia coming out on top 27-24.

No stats to back up prediction, the Green Bay/ Atlanta preview and prediction was much better written

Umm, I have to be honest…who cares? RACHEL MCADAMS COMMENTED ON MSF!

JK…thanks for your comment. I agree that more stats could be used, but Tyler's done a pretty nice job prognosticating the Bears games this year.
