Update: Aaron Wilson of NFPost.com is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers DE Brett Keisel is expected to play this week against the Bills. He missed the past 2 weeks with a hamstring injury.

Fantasy Impact: This will only make a dominant Pittsburgh defense better. They remain a must start in all leagues verse the Bills.

Update: Bengals.com is reporting that the Cincinnati Bengals have placed DT Tank Johnson on IR with a knee injury. He has not played since Oct 31. The Bengals signed CB Fred Bennett to take his place. Bennett played the first 4 weeks of the season with San Diego before being cut.

Fantasy Impact: Johnson was only a back up lineman with the Bengals. Bennet is only roster depth and will play on special teams.

No Timetable For Addai

Update: Coltsgab.com is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts have let RB Joseph Addai participate in noncontact drills. There is still no timetable set for when Addia can return.

Fantasy Impact: Donald Brown is the only Colt RB worth owning right now. Brown is worthy of being a number 2 fantasy RB. He should have a decent game this week against the Chargers.

Chargers Add Jackson To Roster

Update: Christopher Smith of Chargers.com is reporting that the San Diego Chargers have added WR Vincent Jackson to the active roster. He will be eligible to play this week verse the Colts. The Chargers cut K Kris Brown to make room on the roster.

Fantasy Impact: The Chargers are very thin at WR with Crayton out 2 weeks with a dislocated hip. Expect Jackson to start and play well. If he is available in your league pick him up now. He has to be considered a top 20 WR already with the way Rivers is playing. Remember he is healthy he only missed time due to a hold out and a suspension.

Colts Holding Out Collie

Update: NFL.com is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts will hold out WR Austin Collie from this week’s game as a "precautionary measure". He "encountered symptoms from his previous injury" which was a concussion earlier in the season.

Fantasy Impact: This raises the value of the other Colts receivers. WR Blair White will be the one who sees an increase in targets in Sunday's game. The Colts will be throwing a lot this week verse the Chargers.

Update: NFL.com is reporting that the Washington Redskins are expecting to be without S LaRon Landry again for this Sunday's match up verse the Vikings. Landry is suffering from a left achilles injury. The Redskins signed S Macho Harris who played with the Eagles in 2009.

Fantasy Impact: The Redskins Defense has a good match up this week if you’re in need of a defense or in a deep league. Farve isn't playing well and the Redskins could force him into throwing a few interceptions.

Perfection!

2010 NL MVP Joey Votto

Those familiar with me personally or via my writing know I’m not exactly a fan of the mainstream sports or news media. I find them mostly arrogant, out of touch, and often unnecessarily condescending, especially toward bloggers out of (justified) fear that we — despite this being a second job for most of us — do a more thorough/accurate job than they.

All this is why I’ve been thrilled the past week or so with the baseball writers’ selections for the 2010 postseason awards.

TE Gates "no guarantee" for next week

Email Post Email Post

Update: CBSsports.com is reporting that San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates is "no guarantee" to play next week with a toe and foot injury. Gates has missed the past three weeks due to the injuries.

Fantasy Impact: Gates's injury seems to be more severe than originally expected, seeing as he was only expected to miss a week or two at the most. He should be back in time for fantasy playoffs, but to be safe pick up TE Randy McMichael, who has done a nice job filling in for Gates in his absence.

RB Thomas sits practice Tuesday

Email Post Email Post

Update: CBSsports.com is reporting that New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas sat out of practice Tuesday with an ankle injury. The injury has kept Thomas from playing over the past several weeks. The Saints did not give details on whether or not he would play on Thanksgiving Day.

Fantasy Impact: Owners have probably been growing increasingly impatient with each passing week when it comes to Thomas. Now that RB Reggie Bush is scheduled to return soon, it's safe to say Thomas's fantasy value is dropping even further. Continue to stash him away on the bench and hope he can make a return at some point during the regular season.

RB Jones sits practice, might play for Thursday

Email Post Email Post

Update: CBSsports.com is reporting that Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones sat out practice Thursday with a hip injury, but might still be able to play on Thanksgiving Day against the New Orleans Saints. Jones recorded 86 rushing yards and a fumble in week 11.

Fantasy Impact: Jones didn't do much last week, but he is one of those players that could break out on any given opportunity. Monitor his status up until Thursday and if he plays should be considered a number two running back in terms of fantasy.

Giants sign WR Michael Clayton

Email Post Email Post

Update: ESPN.com is reporting that the New York Giants have signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Michael Clayton. Clayton was currently playing the UFL, which means the Giants will have to pay a $150,000 transfer fee. He only has one 1,000 yard season in his caree, which came his rookie year in 2004.

Fantasy Impact: With the Giants receivers succumbing to injuries over the past few weeks, Clayton cold very well turn into a viable fantasy option at receiver for fantasy teams looking to make a playoff push. Any owner needing help at wideout should pick up up as soon as possible and treat him as a number three receiver for now.
