LeSean Mccoy ready to go this week along with rest of Eagles

Email Post Email Post

Update: Geoff Mosher of The Sporting News is reporting that injured Eagles LeSean Mccoy, Nick Cole, and Jaqua Parker will all be ready to play this week in a battle for 1st place against the NY Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Mccoy is the only one of this bunch that will have an impact on your fantasy team. Mccoy has been of great value this year after being drafted as a flex or even a reserve RB. Mccoy has averaged a very respectable 4.7 yards per carry this year. He also has great ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

WR Sims-Walker back at practice

Email Post Email Post

Update: CBSsports.com is reporting that Jacksonville Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker returned to practice Friday. Sims-Walker has been suffering from a swollen ankle that kept him out of practice for the past two days. His status for week 11 is still unclear.

Fantasy Impact: Sims-Walker has been on a hot streak lately and that would probably continue against the Cleveland Browns if he is able to play. Monitor his status over the weekend to see if he will be able to play next week.

Owen Daniels out this week

Email Post Email Post

Update: According to Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com, Coach Gary Kubiak has said that TE Owen Daniels (hamstring) will not play this week against the Jets. Daniels has not been practicing this week.

Fantasy Impact: Daniels hoped to play this week after sitting out the last two games to heal the hamstring. He's already aggravated the hamstring twice this season and Coach Kubiak probably doesn't want to see it happen a third time. That is probably why he won't play this week. Daniels has had a rough season. First he was coming back from a season ending ACL injury last year, and this year it has been his hamstring.

Desean Jackson knows that a new contract is coming

Email Post Email Post

Update: In the Philadelphia Inquirer today, Desean Jackson explained Vick's and his contract situations with the Eagles. "We know the contracts will come. We're just so focused on playing right now, and the better we do, the better it is for both of us," Jackson said.

Fantasy Impact: Vick to Jackson has been a lethal duo when both have been healthy this year. Vick is in the final year of his contract and Jackson has one more year left on his rookie deal. Both have definitely outplayed their current contracts with the team and both hope to cash in when they sign their new ones. Hopefully both will stay with the Eagles and continue their lethal combination and dominance on the field.

Ryan Mathews hopes he plays this week

Email Post Email Post

Update: Rotoworld.com is reporting that Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (ankle) missed practice again Thursday and his status for Monday Night's game against Denver is still uncertain. He does say he is optimistic about playing.

Fantasy Impact: Having the extra day to get ready definitely helps out Mathews here. Mathews aggravated his injury in the team's last game against the Texans. Even with the poor Denver defense, I would put Mathews on my bench. If you had to pick one of the two Chargers RB, I would definitely pick Mike Tolbert. The guy is a TD machine.

Gates unsure about playing this week

Email Post Email Post

Update: Rotoworld.com is reporting that Chargers TE Antonio Gates is still unsure whether he will play or not this week on Monday night. He missed yesterday's practice. He has been hampered by multiple injuries in his feet this whole season, but has played through it for the most part.

Fantasy Impact: Gates: "I've got a way to go … At this point, I'm trying to give myself a chance to play … It's a tear. It's brutal. It's pain … This is probably as frustrated as I've been in my career based on the recovery." Gates has been playing through this injury, but did have to sit 2 weeks ago against the Texans. With the bye last week, Gates was expected to be better, but obviously that is not the case. Gates says he will be 50-50 to play on Monday.

Blackhawks’ 5-0 Win Over Edmonton Is A Sign Of Things to Come

Jonathan Toews

For the first time in all season, the Chicago Blackhawks looked unstoppable. A 5-0 win and a hat trick will do that.

Wednesday night’s game looked, felt , and had, all the aspects of a game from last season.

It was all about puck control.

Jahvid Best back at practice

Email Post Email Post

Update: Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press is reporting that Lions RB Jahvid Best is back at practice this morning. He had been held out of practice most of this week while battling turf toe injuries.

Fantasy Impact: Now definitely all signs lead to Best being able to play this weekend. Fantasy-wise, after having 2 great opening games to the season, Best has been not so good. Since week 3, he has yet to break more than 59 yards in any game and has not scored since then. One good sign is that he still has been getting the bulk of the carries in the Lions backfield, but that is probably because the team doesn't have anyone else because Kevin Smith has been out.

Jerricho Cotchery out this week for sure

Email Post Email Post

Update: Nfl.com is reporting that Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (groin) will definitely miss this week's game against Houston. He has missed all of this week's practices while nursing a tear in his groin he suffered in their OT win against the Browns last week.

Fantasy Impact: Cotchery has had a dissapointing season this year, likely due to the fact that Braylon Edwards and newcomer Santonio Holmes have stepped in to his place as top targets. After being the Jets top WR the past 4 seasons, he only has 29 catches in only 4 starts this year.

WR Mike Williams charged with DUI

Email Post Email Post

Update: According to ESPN.com, Bucs rookie WR Mike Williams was arrested and charged with DUI early this morning. Adam Schefter is hearing conflicting reports on whether he will play this week nor not.

Fantasy Impact: Mike Williams has broken out this season as one of the more surprising rookies in the league. As a fourth round pick, he has over 600 yards and 5 TDS for the young and coming Buccaneers team this season. First Schefter reported that an official said Williams will travel to San Fran, but now another has said he won't play. Make sure you keep updated on this today and into this weekend.

WR Kevin Curtis trying to make a comeback from cancer

Email Post Email Post

Update: According to Yahoo Sports, former Rams and Eagles WR Kevin Curtis is trying to make a comeback to the NFL. He had not been able to play for awhile after battling testicular cancer.

Fantasy Impact: Jason LaCanfora on Twitter said that Curtis has worked out for both the Giants and the Lions this week. This would be another great comeback story if Curtis is able to make a roster by the end of this year. He is coming off a very dissapointing contract with the Eagles, but everyone is rooting for his return to the NFL.

RB Thomas continues to sit out of practice

Email Post Email Post

Update: CBSsports.com is reporting that New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas is still being held out of practice with an ankle injury. The injury has kept him out for the past several weeks. Head Coach Sean Payton said that he is taking the injury day-to-day to determine whether or not he will be able to play on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: The Saints have had almost no running game since Thomas and RB Reggie Bush went down a few weeks ago. Now both running backs have a chance to come back and thus will open up the playbook for the Saints offense. In terms of fantasy, monitor his status over the weekend to see if he will be able to play on Sunday.

RB Best still being held out of practice

Email Post Email Post

Update: CBSsports.com is reporting that Detroit Lions RB Jahvid Best was held out of practice again Thursday with turf toe. Best has been plagues by the injury for the past several weeks. He played last week but only managed to accumulate 37 yards on 17 carries.

Fantasy Impact: Best's speed and explosiveness are his greatest assets and both have been nullified by this injury. Not to mention his fantasy season has been destroyed. The Lions have not given word on whether or not he will be able to play against the Dallas Cowboys next week, but it would be wise to look for fantasy help elsewhere.
