Each week I post my first set of player rankings on Monday or Tuesday. Inevitably, things happen throughout the week (injuries, trades, the release of naughty cell phone pictures) that alter my projection for how guys will fare on Sundays.
Because my goal is to help each and every one of our readers (and myself) be in the best possible position to win, I update my rankings on Friday to reflect all the activity from the week.
Click for the latest injury updates on guys like Darren McFadden and Pierre Thomas, which impacted the rankings below. Then check out the final, updated rankings for Week 5.
First, have a look at this week’s Fantasy Football 3-2-1 video. I analyze players who have surprised and disappointed, and tell you whether it’s time to buy low or jump ship.

Jerod,
You've helped me several times with "start/sit" advice.
Thank you, with your help, I'm 5 and 3 in my league (we play two games a week)
I'd like your opinion on a trade I've been offered–
I was offered Shonn Green and Matt Schaub for Carson Palmer and DeAngelo Williams.
My other QB is Matt Ryan.
My other RB's are–Arian Foster, Jahvid Best, CJ Spiller and Tim Hightower.
What's your opinion??
thanks
Before the season I would have said No in a second, because I really liked DAW. But Carolina's O is terrible and it's really limiting his chances. Now it's a bit closer. Still, I'd rather have Palmer and DAW. Green doesn't start for you at RB but Williams does (over Best, Spiller, Hightower). And while Schaub is better than Palmer, Ryan is still a pretty good QB and you can do okay playing matchups between he and Palmer. I'd say no.
thanks Jerod. I felt the same way, but I value your advice.
