Vincent Jackson expected to sign tender today

Email Post Email Post

Update: Jason LaCanfora of nfl.com is reporting that Vincent Jackson is expected to sign his tender within the hour today.

Fantasy Impact: Vincent Jackson has been sitting out the whole season because of contract issues. It looks like Jackson has finally given in and will sign his tender with San Diego. He cannot play until week 12 however. San Diego is in dire need of a spark standing 3rd in the AFC West. Lucky for them, that may be one of the worser conferences in the NFL and with Jackson's addition to the team in the late part of the season, expect the Chargers to make a push for the playoffs.

WR Stallworth aims to return after bye

Email Post Email Post

Update: NFL.com is reporting that Baltimore Ravens WR Donte Stallworth could possibly return to the team in week nine against the Miami Dolphins. Stallworth broke his foot in the team's third preseason game on August 28 has been out ever since. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh said that there is a "good chance" that Stallworth will be ready to go by week nine.

Fantasy Impact: Stallwroth will give the Ravens added depth at WR as well as provide a deep threat alongside WR Anquan Boldin. Howevever, he is still pretty low on the depth chart and considering that the Ravens are primarily a run-first team, Stallworth doesn't look to appealing in terms of fantasy.

Williams listed as doubtful vs. Rams

Email Post Email Post

Update: The Associated Press is reporting that Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has missed his third straight practice and is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game in St. Louis with an unspecified foot injury.

Fantasy Impact: Williams’ injury means a higher value for Jonathan Stewart and a somewhat higher value for no.3 RB Mike Goodson, but behind an offensive line that is still missing right tackle Jeff Otah and a Rams’ defense that has only let up more than 18 points once this year, the real fantasy beneficiary of Williams’ injury is the aforementioned Rams’ defense. St. Louis’ defense and special teams has the best matchup of any team in the league this week. If there’s any way you can pick them up, do it and stick them in your lineup.

Brett Favre practices today with 1st team

Update: According to Ed Werder of espn.com, Brett Favre participated in limited practices today with the Vikings 1st team offense.

Fantasy Impact: Ealier reports have the Vikings being very cautious with Favre and his status for this week's game. Favre has told people that he isn't convinced Coach Childress will let him play. With Favre getting all the snaps with the 1st team today, although in limited fashion, Favre's status may have gotten better for Sunday's game. The decision on whether he will start or not is expected to come Saturday.

Cardinals WR Breaston back for Sunday’s game

Email Post Email Post

Update: Nfl.com is reporting that the Cardinals fully expect WR Steve Breaston to return this week. He has missed the past three games after recovering from knee surgery.

Fantasy Impact: Breaston was able to go last week against Seattle, but the field conditions scared the team from letting him play too soon. Breaston looks to help out rookie Max Hall as he returns to the field as well. The Cardinals are the worst ranked offense in the NFL, and now with a healthy Breaston and Larry Fitzgerald, they can only improve on their stats and production as a team.

Rams RB Jackson vows to play

Email Post Email Post

Update: "Absolutely, I will definitely be out there Sunday," said Jackson, according to a report on nfl.com. Jackson had surgery on his left hand finger this past Monday.

Fantasy Impact: Jackson hasn't practiced all week, but said he may try and give it a go today in practice. Jackson is always expected to be on the field every week for the Rams and will be out there again this week. After becoming the Rams all-time leading rusher last week, Jackson looks to have a big game against a week Carolina run defense.

Addai out, Brown in for Colts

Email Post Email Post

Update: Sources have told ESPN that both Joseph Addai and Donald Brown missed pratice Thursday. Addai likely won't play Monday night against the Texans. Brown is expected to return to the field after not playing since Septermber 26.

Fantasy Impact: With Addai likely out, bench him for this week, but keep updated with his status, because Brown's status is also up in the air. The Colts 3rd RB, Mike Hart, could be a sleeper play this week if both can't go.

Giants DE Kiwanuka placed on IR

Email Post Email Post

Update: Espn.com is reporting that the New York Giants have place DE Mathias Kiwanuka on IR. Kiwanuka has a herniated disk in his neck.

Fantasy Impact: Kiwanuka had been off to a good start this season with four sacks and a forced fumble before going down with the injury. Kiwanuka is in the last year of his contract and may have played his last game as a Giant. Kiwanuka has been a valuable piece to this Giants defense, but most only remember one specific play; his "missed" tackle against the Titans Vince Young.

Cowboys may not let Romo come back this season

Email Post Email Post

Update: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said that Tony Romo may not play again this season, according to an espn.com report. Romo is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a broken collarbone.

Fantasy Impact: Jerry Jones has said that Jon Kitna's performance and the team's record will decide if the Cowboys let Romo play out the rest of the season. The team is 1-5 right now and their star QB is sidelined for weeks, which leads most to determine that Jones will hold out Romo for the remainder of the season unless the 'Boys start to win some games and get back in the mediocre NFC East.

Vikings leaning towards sitting Favre

Email Post Email Post

Update: Espn.com is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings and head coach Brad Childress are leaning towards starting Tavaris Jackson at QB this week. Brett Favre's availability has been up in the air all week after news that he has two fractures in his ankle.

Fantasy Impact: Childress said he will let Favre try and practice a little bit and test his mobility today in practice. If Favre can't go Jackson will get the start against New England. Either way, Adrian Peterson's stock has gone up tremendously this week and the Vikings will look to have a run-heavy offense this week.

My girlfriend’s brother, a sophomore engineering student at Baylor (and, for the record, a huge Wisconsin fan), sent me the picture below with the subject line “Engineers are the best.”

It seems that a friend of his, also an engineering student, decided to make “business time” a little more comfortable and relaxing.

The result is the world’s most comfortable toilet.
