Colts Addai doubtful

Email Post Email Post

Update: Rotoworld.com is reporting that Colts RB Joseph Addai is doubtful for today's game. Donald Brown is likely to be back in uniform and will likely take his place in the backfield.

Fantasy Impact: Addai had been listed as questionable all week due to his shoulder injury. The Colts are playing the worst pass defense in the league so expect Peyton Manning to stretch the field, thus creating holes for RBs Brown and Mike Hart.

Deion Branch will play today

Email Post Email Post

Update: Adam Schefter is reporting that New England WR Deion Branch (hamstring) will be active today and will play. He participated in limited amounts of practice on Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Branch got off to a hot start with New England in his first game back and then had a more realistic game last week catching four passes. Especially with a hamstring injury, don't expect Branch to be Brady's top target today.

Favre will Start

Email Post Email Post

Update:
According to NFL.com, Brett Favre will go in todays game against the Patriots.

Fantasy Update:
Favre will have a tough task today against a young, fast patriots defense. Favre should be sat in all fantasy leagues because his value is in question today, as well as for the year.

Vernon Davis active today

Email Post Email Post

Update: Nfl.com is reporting that 49ers TE Vernon Davis (ankle) will be active and will play today against the Broncos in London.

Fantasy Impact: Davis has scored a TD in the past four games. However, Troy Smith is making his first start at QB for the 49ers this year so we shall see if the two have any chemistry together. Davis is the 49ers leading receiver so at least look for Smith to make an attempt to get Davis the ball.

FB Deon Anderson to IR

Email Post Email Post

Update:
The Miami Dolphins have placed FB Deon Anderson (triceps) on Injured Reserve, bringing an end to his 2010 season.

Fantasy Update:
This news hurts all owners of Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown. They both have had a rough year so far and losing their FB is just another piece of the puzzle missing. It’s tough to start either of these backs right now.

Williams is out

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Continuing a previous storyline, the Carolina Panthers officially declared RB DeAngelo Williams (foot) inactive for Week 8, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter. As previously reported, Williams did not travel with the team to St. Louis.

Fantasy Impact:
Williams was in doubt of playing all week and this news should be good for Jonahan Stewart owners. Stewart will get a lot of carries today against the Rams.

Jackson will play

Email Post Email Post

Update:
St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson (finger) is active for the team’s Week 8 game against the Carolina Panthers, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Jackson underwent surgery on a finger earlier in the week.

Fantasy Impact:
Jackson was questionable in whether or not he would participate in today’s game, but question no more. Jackson will start for the Rams against the Panthers and should not be limited with the injury to his finger.

Garrard back in at QB for Jags

Email Post Email Post

Update: According to nfl.com, Jaguars QB David Garrard (concussion) will likely start today. Garrad has been out since October 18th after suffering a concussion.

Fantasy Impact: The entire Jaguars team hasn't looked to good this season and everyone is looking for someone to blame. First place people look: quarterback. Garrard has been inconsistent this year throwing for 9 TDs and 7 INTs. The Jags have brought in Trent Edwards and Todd Bouman to challenge Garrard at the position. Bouman started last week and got better as the game went on, but Garrard should be the QB. He gives the team the best chance to win every Sunday.

All signs point to Favre starting

Email Post Email Post

Update: According to Jason La Canfora of Nfl.com, all signs are looking like Brett Favre will start at QB today against New England. Favre suffered two fractures in his foot/ankle last week.

Fantasy Impact: Coach Brad Childress has said that he will wait until game time to make a final decision, but Favre has not been told that he won't be the starting QB. Favre hasn't looked to good this season, especially compared to the season he put up last year for Minnesota. Wouldn't it be weird if Favre's consecutive game streak ends this year due to poor play, rather than a devastating injury? It looks like it could happen if he keeps throwing picks.

Marshall disgusted with team

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall expressed displeasure with his teammates for griping about the infamous fumble call involving Ben Roethlisberger during a one-point loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Impact:
When first hearing this, one would think Marshall is opening his mouth again. Yet when reading into it, hes right. A player can not look at one play and say that’s why we lost it was the refs fault. Marshall may be right on this subject but his teammates may not be thrilled about him putting their names out there. Marshall better put his money where his mouth is this week and have a solid game against the Bengals.

Pierre Thomas out again

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Pierre Thomas has been ruled out for Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Fantasy Impact:
Thomas has an undisclosed injury that he got a second opinion on and was old to stay off of it. This second opinion was not by a team doctor and is starting to aggravate the Saints. Thomas is already not on Sean Payton’s good side, but the further extent of his injury time is pushing him farther and farther away from putting a Saints jersey on again. Ivory will start today but when Reggie Bush comes back healthy, expect him to get the bulk of the load, regardless if Thomas is healthy or not.

Jackson Status is uncertain

Email Post Email Post

Update:
St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson was limited in practice on Friday with a finger injury and is listed as questionable for the game Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy Impact:
Jackson has made it certain that he will play Sunday against the Panthers but he did not practice much on Friday and is still ailing with a broken finger. Jackson seems extremely determined to play so he likely will go, if he does not go back-up Kenneth Darby will get most of the carries for the Rams.
