Winslow will play

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow (knee) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 23, a day after taking in a full practice. Winslow had not practiced all of last week and still played during Week 2.

Fantasy Impact:
TE Kellen Winslow practiced all day on Wednesday but did not see the field on Thursday. Winslow did not practice at all last week but still started on Sunday so expect Winslow to start on Sunday regardless if he missed practice or not.

Lynch Likely to Start

Email Post Email Post

Update:
According to an Inside Source, Bills RB Marshawn Lynch will start this week over rookie C.J. Spiller.

Fantasy Impact:

Lynch seen the most touches last week even though Spiller started the game. Expect Lynch to see the most carries out of Buffalos three RB’s, but none are a trust worthy starter.

Dixon Out for 6 Weeks

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dennis Dixon (knee) will miss six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus, sources told Gerry Dulac, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Fantasy Impact:
The Pittsburgh Steelers can not win this year when it comes to QB’s. After losing its starter Ben Roethlisberger for four weeks at the beginning of the season, they then lost back-up Byron Leftwhich, and now third string QB Dennis Dixon. This weeks starter will be Charlie Batch it seems, unless Leftwhich is healthy, neither have any fantasy value.

Unknown how much RB Wells will play

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said he is not sure how long RB Beanie Wells (knee) will be able to play in Week 3, reports AZCardinals.com’s Darren Urban

Fantasy Impact:
RB Beanie Wells will play this week but will be limited behind Tim Hightower. Hightower has looked good in his first two weeks this season but will lose carries as Wells returns. In is undetermined how much either will play which makes both a risky fantasy option but Hightower should have the upper hand.

Gradkowski to Start

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Oakland Raiders QB Jason Campbell, who is being benched entering Week 3, will be the team’s No. 2 quarterback during Week 3, reports Jerry McDonald.

Fantasy Impact:
Bruce Gradkowski will get the go in week three for the Raiders this week. Gradkowski has no fantasy value besides turning around and handing the ball to RB Darren McFadden. McFadden has looked like the top RB he was drafted to be in his first two starts with no other RB breathing down his neck.

Hines Ward will Start

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward (calf) participated in practice Friday, Sept. 24, and is listed as probable for Week 3.

Fantasy Impact:
Hines Ward will start this week against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Hines Ward should have a decent day against the Bucs but wait for Roethlisberger to come back in Week six for his numbers to explode.

Fred Taylor will Play

Email Post Email Post

Update:
New England Patriots RB Fred Taylor (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 24, reports Jeff Howe, of NESN.com. He is listed as probable for Week 3 and is expected to play.

Fantasy Impact:
Fred Taylor will likely get the start but no Patriots RB serves any fantasy value, not even in the deep leagues. Look for Taylor to split carries and not enough to make him a quality starter.

Stafford to Miss Sunday Again

Email Post Email Post

Update:
According to an Inside Source, Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford will miss this Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Fantasy Impact:

The Lions highest paid player will miss his second game in as many weeks and looks to be an injury proned QB in his first two seasons in the NFL. Lions back-up QB Shaun Hill had an impressive start last week against the Eagles and hopes to do the same this week against a hurting Vikings secondary. He still has no fantasy value this week.

Delhomme Doubtful for Sunday

Email Post Email Post

Update:
Cleveland Browns QB Jake Delhomme (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 24, and is not expected to play in Week 3, according to Scott Petrak, of The Medina County Gazette.

Fantasy Impact:
QB Jake Delhomme has had two weeks to forget these past two weeks and will have time to rest this Sunday as it seems like young rookie QB Colt Mccoy or Veteran QB Seneca Wallace will start in his place. Neither two QB’s are worth any fantasy value but it will be interesting which gets the start this Sunday.

Redskins bring RB Torain Up

Email Post Email Post

Update:
According to Redskins beat writer Rich Campbell, running back Ryan Torain has been added to the team’s 53-man roster.
Fantasy Impact:
With the release of RB Larry Johnson earlier this week, this move was expected as Torain had been on the practice squad already. This move should not affect workhorse RB Clinton Portis at all this week. Portis is expected to have good numbers against the Rams this week.

Turner likely in on Sunday

Email Post Email Post

Update: Michael Turner fully participated in Falcons practice on Friday afternoon, and is listed as probable for Week 3, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Fantasy Impact: With Turner out on Sunday, back-up RB Jason Snelling had a huge day. Its looking like Turner will start this Sunday though. Michael Turner will face a Saints defense that gave up huge plays and a lot of yards to Frank Gore last Sunday, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier for them if Turner goes.
