Update 9/15: The announcer assignments for all Week 2 games have been posted.
Wow, how ’bout those Chiefs?
I didn’t stay up to watch the second half, which from the score appeared to far less exciting than the first half. But boy did the Chiefs look explosive on offense and actually competent on defense in the first half. Between Jamaal Charles and Dexter McCluster the Chiefs have two guys who can take it to the house on any play. We’ll see if it was just an aberration or if the Chiefs are ready to compete this year.
One thing is for sure: we probably won’t know too much about the Chiefs after Week 2. Why? Because they play the Browns, who couldn’t even beat Tampa Bay last week. And between an apparently improved Chiefs’ D and Eric Mangini’s reluctance to give Jerome Harrison the ball, Harrison probably will not repeat his 286-yard performance from Week 15 of last year.
But there are plenty of other games on the Week 2 schedule, and many more compelling than Chiefs-Browns. We have Giants-Colts, Dolphins-Vikings, Steelers-Titans, Saints-49ers, and Patriots-Jets, among others. See all the matchups, plus the kickoff times, TV schedule, announcer lineups, and odds in this week’s Viewer’s Guide.

Below is all of the schedule information you need for Week 1. (Note: I’ll be back on Monday of Week 2 to update this post with my picks.)
A couple of quick things to keep in mind:
- All times are ET.
- Some games do not have all of the information filled in as of this post being published (i.e. a few games don’t have spreads yet and the announcer assignments have not yet been announced). I’ll update this post as soon as the information is available at the506.com.
- Point spread and over-under listings are as of Tuesday morning, and obviously subject to change throughout the week. If you want updated point spread info, or some expert advice as you make your weekly picks, below are a few helpful links.

Note: I switched up the format a bit this week. I am not including my picks in the Viewer’s Guide. Rather, I’ve posted a separate Bettor’s Guide that includes all of the point spreads and my Week 2 picks.
And with all that said, here is your Week 2 TV Viewer’s Guide, with the TV schedule, kickoff times, announcers, and odds.
