Even though this is (supposedly) a sports blog, and even though right now might be the greatest time to be a sports fan in 2010, I’m going off-topic for a post.
What, you may be asking yourself, could be important enough for me to momentarily shirk sports this afternoon?
Easy: a reunion of Jason Bateman and Will Arnett. (And if that sentence doesn’t excite you, then you obviously need to go buy this right now. Don’t worry, you can thank me later.)
But thanks to a new viral video campaign by Orbit gum, we get to see Michael and Gob Bluth together again on the screen…even though they’re playing different characters; but who cares, right? Right.
Enjoy:
In case you don’t have time to watch the whole video, the highlight has to be Will Arnett playing a 40-year old high school social studies teacher and rocking a killer mustache:
It’s actually kind of funny that I stumbled across this video today because I was going through some past off-topic posts here at MSF and came across this one, entitled “The 5 Greatest Moments in the History of The Final Countdown”, which was inspired by a scene from Arrested Development.
And just for shits and giggles, here is that scene, which still makes me laugh every time I see it:
So while I am fully aware that I have just allowed the Orbit Gum company to hijack this website for its own promotional purposes, it is well deserved for putting Bateman and Arnett back on screen together (along with that funny blonde lady who I’ve always enjoyed).
Plus, this is a picture I just took of my desk (seriously):
I don’t need any impetus to promote Orbit. I probably pay for half of their marketing budget as it is with how much gum I chew. Which, come to think of it, makes me think I should be getting paid for this…
Oh, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett back together, creating laughs. That’s right. We all got paid. Thanks Orbit!
