Back again this week folks. How’d you like my last week’s kick? $700 shoes? Crazy huh?
Well this week I’m back with a brand spanking new shoe from the Nike LeBron James line. For those of you whom are unfamilar with the LeBron sneaker line, here is something for you guys to check out, Nikelebron.net. It’s a great site for any LeBron fan, courtesy of my buddy Greg.
Well, LeBron James is arguably the greatest player on earth, right beside that #24 guy from LA. So Nike has to accept the challenge every year by bringing in a shoe fit for a king.
Nike has already delivered this season, by bringing in the Nike Air Max LeBron VII (for his 7th year), which is built for the rigors of an 82-game regular season.

As stylish as Nike wants their shoes to be for The King, they also have to develop a shoe that enhances his freakish athletic ability, God-given body, and talent.
Now with the regular season reaching it’s climax, a new shoe must be created to help LeBron with the second, and most important season:
The NBA Playoffs.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you:
The Nike LeBron VII Post Season (Performance)
When I first caught a glimpse of this shoe, the only thought that came to mind, was the Jordan XI. No? This is something very, very bold for Nike to attempt, because this is the first time Nike has ever designed a shoe that had a glimpse of the XI’s. It’s actually easy to see in the outsole of the shoe. The Jordan XI has the same rubber material used, with embedded zoom technology on the bottom.
One thing many people know, is that LeBron’s signature playoff line is usually the Soldier. Like last year’s Soldier 3, the Post Season VII, will strictly be for the post-season.

Look at the comparison between the PS VII, and the Jordan XI:
So Nike made a statement with this one. I’m not saying that they are dubbing LeBron as the next MJ….or are they?
Anyways, this shoe is definitely something to be excited about! As the Nike Air Max LeBron VII features an airbag at the bottom, the PS VII features the Air Zoom cushioning unit, which is what we’ve seen in previous LeBron models. But what we are now seeing is Nike taking the LeBron shoe line back into the Zoom era after only one Air Max LeBron shoe.
Could the Zoom unit continuously be used in the playoffs from here on out, or is this a permanent transfer back into the Zoom? Who knows.
One thing many fans of LeBron already know, is his logo. Take a good look at LeBron’s L23 logo in this Midnight Navy/Crimson/White colorway:
See it right there, near the beginning of Nike’s swoosh? Well I hope you enjoyed looking at it, cause this kick will be the last (assumably) to ever feature the L23 logo. Why? Well if you haven’t been alive recently, then you didn’t hear that LeBron will be changing his jersey number from 23, to 6 in honor of Michael Jordan. With that said, LeBron’s logo would indeed need to be changed, right?
Here’s a couple more shots:
Nice shoe, no? Well for those of you foaming at the mouth already, I hate to break it to you but this shoe doesn’t drop till March 27th at Footlocker. But no worries LeBron fans, my friends at Eastbay have all the LeBron merchandise you could want, just to keep you happy in the meantime:
But until then, this is Devon’s NBA Kick of the Week, and I look forward to dropping my next issue this Tuesday!
Til then guys, later.
