Final Four TV Schedule, Announcers, and Spreads

Update 3/28: This was originally posted on March 27th. In the meantime, the Final Four field and TV Schedule have been set. See table below.

Today and tomorrow, four Elite 8 games will determine the 2010 Final Four in Indianapolis.

As we have previewed over the last 48 hours here at MSF, Butler-Kansas State and Kentucky-West Virginia play today, followed by Michigan State-Tennessee and Duke-Baylor tomorrow.

The winners will have their names etched into the hallowed table below, taking their place as one of four teams competing on college basketball’s final weekend for its most esteemed prize.

And everything you need to know about the 2010 Final Four is right here.

Also, if you are coming to Indianapolis from out of town, the following two links will help you get great deals on flights and hotels.

Earlier this month, we broke down the history of Final Fours in Indianapolis. This year’s Final Four will be the 6th played in the amateur sports capital of the world.

And here is the TV schedule, as well as the announcer assignment, tip times, and spreads for the 2010 Final Four in Indianapolis. (Note: I’m posting this before the participants are known; I’ll update this table once we know who is in the Final Four.)

2010 Final Four TV Schedule, Tip Time, Dates, Announcers, Spread

Game Matchup Date Time Location Announcers Spread
  FINAL FOUR
1 #5 Butler 52 def #5 Michigan State 50 April 3 6:07 PM* Indianapolis, IN Nantz-Kellogg BUT -1.5
2 #1 Duke 78 def #2 West Virginia 57 April 3 8:47 PM* Indianapolis, IN Nantz-Kellogg DUKE -2.5

  NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
3 #5 Butler v #1 Duke April 5 9:21 PM Indianapolis, IN Nantz-Kellogg Duke -6.5

* – These are the historical tip times for the Final Four, so I’m assuming these will be the times for this year. Whether the Midwest-West game is first or the South-East game is first will be determined by CBS after Sunday’s games. Something tells me that if Duke-Kentucky is one of the Final Four matchups, it will get the primetime slot as the second matchup.

Once the Elite 8 games have been decided, we’ll have in-depth previews and predictions of both Final Four games, as well as the National Championship game.

When will Gus Johnson get a Final Four appearance? Nantz is getting old. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all he has done for sports, but let’s make room for the new era of exciting announcers and Gus Johnson is at the top of that list!
