You want to know why I always make it a point to read Drew Magary’s columns on Deadspin? Because in addition to his unique blend of witty, insightful, sophomoric, and downright crass observational humor, there is the occasional video gem like what you see below.
Apparently some girls’ high school volleyball coach thought it would be okay to fire a volleyball at his own player during a match. As you can see, he hits her right in the head, causing the parents close to the camera to begin talking like parents do at sporting events.

Coach Eric Maxwell of Southern High School (New Jersey) throwing a ball at one of his own players. Just another example of him taking his antics too far. Accidental or not, he should not have a job coaching athletes right now. We need role models.
Hitting a high school girl in the head with a volleyball? Yeah, I’d say that’s going too far.
