Bucs hire Van Pelt as QB coach

Update: According to the Tampa Tribune, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hired Alex Van Pelt as the team's new quarterbacks coach. He will be tagged with the critical job of grooming Bucs' franchise quarterback Josh Freeman. Van Pelt began his coaching career as a quarterbacks coach with the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League of American Football in 2005. Van Pelt returned to the Bills in 2006 as an offensive quality control coach and became the Bills quarterbacks coach in 2008. He was fired in January with the rest of former coach Dick Jauron's staff after a 6-10 season.
