Mendenhall banged up

Email Post Email Post

Update: The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall is dealing with a bruised hip.

Fantasy Impact: Mendenhall is going to go on Sunday against the Ravens.  It isn't the best week for him to be banged up as he faces a tough Ravens defense.

WR Wallace is banged up

Email Post Email Post

Update:  The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Steelers wideout Mike Wallace suffered a bruised knee in the Week 15 win over the Packers.

Fantasy Impact: Wallace is going to be good to go for Week 16 especially since the team is in a must win situation.  He has a tough matchup this week against a solid Ravens secondary.

Nedney out for Week 16

Email Post Email Post

Update: Joe Nedney strained his hamstring last week and reports are that he is not going to play in Week 16, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Fantasy Impact: The Niners have been trying to determine what to do for a kicker this week, and chances are that Ricky Schmitt is going to get the call.

Jammer practices

Email Post Email Post

Update: The San Diego Tribune is reporting that Chargers cornerback Quentin Jammer was at practice on Tuesday night even though he was battling a knee injury suffered in last week's game.

Fantasy Impact: This is a good sign for the Chargers and Jammer who was forced to leave last week's game and did not return.  He should be a go for Friday's game against the Titans.

Giants sign tight end

Email Post Email Post

Update: The Newark Star Ledger is reporting that the Giants signed tight end Scott Chandler off the Cowboys' practice squad.

Fantasy Impact: Darcy Johnson was a late scratch on Monday night, and there has been no further reports on why.  Chandler has no shot of seeing time with the Giants.

Clayton to return as starter

Email Post Email Post

Update: The Baltimore sun is reporting that Ravens wideout Mark Clayton is expected to resume starting once he recovers from knee and hamstring injuries. Clayton appears likely to return this week against Pittsburgh.

Fantasy Impact: Clayton will play with the first team, but is likely to split reps with Kelley Washington and Demetrius Williams. Williams is the one guy who is the biggest threat, and the Ravens need all the threats they can get coming down the stretch.

After a 2 week hiatus, due to much needed research for the upcoming college Bowl Season. The Guru is looking to go over the 60% mark picking against the spread this college football season.

D-Wade Joining LeBron in 2010?

Email Post Email Post

Here we go again folks, yet another 2010 free agency gossip article. But this one seems to be a teeny bit more juicy than most of the others.

Why?

Well I’m sure you know LeBron, and I’m pretty sure you know that Dwyane Wade guy too. Well what if I told you that Mr. Wade has considered teaming up with The King himself?

Don’t believe me, well here’s the word:

Fred Davis Favorite Target

Email Post Email Post

Update: Redskins TE Fred Davis had 5 catches for 65 yards and a score on 9 targets Monday against the Giants.

Fantasy Impact: Davis has really been producing recently, and Campbell seems to be looking for him in the redzone. He is probably a reasonable TE play next week if you're in need of some help there.

Quinton Ganther Gets Lion’ Share

Email Post Email Post

Update: Quinton Ganther had 10 carries for 21 yards and a score and 2 catches for 19 yards on 2 targets against the Giants Monday night.

Fantasy Impact: Ganther got by far the carries among the backfield in Washington and, while the whole offense essentially failed to produce, he at least got his owners a score. He seems to be the back to have next week also, and could be a reasonable flex option.

Ahmad Bradshaw Gets 2 Scores

Email Post Email Post

Update: Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw had 9 carries for 61 yards and 2 scores and had 3 catches for 29 yards on 4 targets.

Fantasy Impact: Bradshaw has clearly been the back to have in the Giants backfield this year, and is probably once again a reasonable flex play in for this last week of fantasy.

Eli Manning Has Great Game

Email Post Email Post

Update: Giants QB Eli Manning threw 19/26 for 268 yards and 3 scores against the Redskins Monday night.

Fantasy Impact: This was a surprising outing from Manning because he is normally not very good later in the year and the Skins have a very good pass defense. Eli doesn't seem like a good start next week, but he may have shown us something last night.

NFL Week 16 Picks, Point Spread, TV Schedule, and Announcer Lineup

Email Post Email Post

Update: The NFL Week 17 TV schedule, point spreads, and picks post is up.

——————–

Update 12/22: The spreads for every game but one (Oakland-Cleveland) is posted, as well as the announcers for every game.

The egg that Minnesota laid on Sunday Night Football against the Panthers ensure that Week 15 would be my third straight losing week. After going 7-9 in back-to-back weeks, I am 4-6-2 heading into the Redskins-Giants Monday night game.

Hopefully the ‘Skins can cover the three and help to minimize the damage. Regardless, even if the ‘Skins don’t cover, I will still be at least 19 games over .500 for the season. For making picks on Monday/Tuesday morning based on gut instinct, I’m still feeling pretty good about the season as a whole.

What’s on tap for Week 16? As you would expect, there are some huge, pivotal games this week with tremendous playoff impact.

Among these ultra-important games: Chargers-Titans, Texans-Dolphins, Jaguars-Patriots, Ravens-Steelers, Broncos-Eagles, Cowboys-Redskins, and even the Vikings-Bears game on Monday night, considering how poorly Minnesota has played recently.

Let’s go game-by-game like we always do and look at the kickoff times, TV listings, announcers, and spreads, plus I’ll give you my pick for each.
