Desean Jackson has been a godsend for many fantasy owners this year. He’s a guy that you probably got in the middle rounds who has produced 2nd-3rd value at the WR position.
Unfortunately, tho owners hoping that DJax will help them make a final push towards the playoffs may be disappointed this weekend.
That latest injury update on Desean Jackson is that he does not think that he can go this weekend, leaving his status for the Eagles’ Week 13 matchup with Atlanta in doubt.
The circumstances surrounding Jackson’s pronouncement that he might not be able to go are interesting in light of the Hines Ward-Big Ben brou-ha-ha from Monday night, as explained by PFT in its latest Desean Jackson injury update:
Instead of the Eagles shutting Jackson down, he seems to be shutting himself down.
“I don’t think I can go,” Jackson said Tuesday, per Sal Paolantonio of ESPN. “I blacked out.”
Nothing is written in stone yet, although there does seem to be a trend towards a minimum of a one-week absence for a players who suffer concussions. If you own Desean Jackson, you’ll want to monitor his injury status throughout the week and get an alternative ready.
I think the Atlanta defense should provide some inviting opportunities for Donovan McNabb, so Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant make pretty attractive alternatives if Jackson is indeed out.
