Breaking: US Weekly Releases Audio of Now Infamous Tiger Woods Voicemail Message to Jaimee Grubbs

Well, I think the tweet from Jimmy Traina that alerted me to the much-awaited Tiger Woods voicemail message pretty sums it up the best:

“Oh, Tiger. That’s not good.”

Click through for audio. (Note: the audio autoplays after a few seconds; not sure how to disable that.)

Audio: Tiger Woods Voicemail Message to Jaimee Grubbs

I’m not really sure what else there is to add. Follow the link for more of the backstory on the Tiger Woods voicemail from US Weekly.

tiger woods voicemail audioI summed up my thoughts on this story last night and don’t really have anything else to add except to say that if things looked bad before for Tiger, they look a whole lot worse now.

Here are a few updates and additional perspectives from around the web as the voicemail spreads throughout the Interwebs like a wildfire.

From The Big Lead’s story on the Tiger Woods voicemail:

First impressions: if Tiger were single, few people would care. But to cheat on his wife who just gave birth to two of his kids? Pretty bad move, Tiger. We’re fairly confident that if his wife, Elin Nordegren, goes through with the divorce, it should easily topple the rumored $150 million Michael Jordan settlement.

The Big Lead also has this alleged email (via US Weekly) that Tiger supposedly sent to Grubbs Rachel Uchitel:

“I had a dream we were married and I was leading the tournament,” he allegedly wrote. “I came home, excited to see you, and there you were in the bedroom getting f – - -ed by Derek and David. Some part of me thinks you would like that. But now I can’t get back to sleep. My body is tired, but mind awake. Need an Ambien.”

Daulerio pretty much sums it up over at Deadspin’s morning post on the Tiger Woods voicemail message:

Is this colossally bad? Not really. Does it sound good given everything else that’s filtering out right now? That’s a big not really.

And lastly, at least for a little while until something else breaks, RadarOnline is now reporting that Tiger allegedly paid for Rachel Uchitel’s visit to Australia. This explains why she was there at the same time, staying in the same hotel.

Tiger Woods booked and paid for Rachel Uchitel’stravel to meet him in Australia in November, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Rachel has been linked to Tiger in a cheating scandal and although she has denied a romantic relationship with the golfing great, the evidence is mounting.

The media got Tiger busted. Just because he would'nt talk to them they emtied his closet. LOL!, he must of had a walk-in closet with all the dirt coming out now. Can you say double bogie?

Yeah, I think it's pretty overwhelming at this point. Between the voicemail and now Tiger's statement, all that's left is for the last few salacious details to come trickling out.

That's part of it. He and his team worked extremely hard to build a cocoon of privacy around him, while at the same time wanting him to be the most famous athlete/person in the world. That's a pretty tough dichotomy to balance for long. And it all came crashing down in quite a spectacular fashion.

people all over the world have been waiting for this "man of color", regardless of his own self-hatred, to fall. he dominates a generally white sport, he marries a white woman and has children w/ her and to top it all off, he's the first athelete to be worth 1 billion dollars.

Oh Tiger… what a bad situation. It kind of blows my mind that it all started coming out because of a minor car accident. Who thinks that it will harm his reputation? http://www.newsy.com/videos/tiger_comes_clean_aft

well she is a total WHORE for getting involve with a married man.

why is it that people assume that because his married to a white woman and plays golf that he hates himself. last time i checked he was mixed so culturally he's exposed to two races. besides if you wanna go that route the you can say that all black people should not have interests in anything coz quite frankly historically white people have pretty much pioneered most things more than blacks. because of that a black person shouldnt like sumthing like surfing coz it isnt black enough. fine stick to rap and sports coz thats all we can ever be excel in. i hate it when people hate on another black person simply because the hang out with white people when there are a bunch of factors other than race and there's nothing wrong with it. if you are black marine you are stereotyping your own race.

race is a factor in a lot of things but quite frankly the world waits for anyne famous to fall regardless of race. and right no its about a man and a woman going through a tough time becoz he cheated. it happens acroos the board too. theres no need to bring race into it. we can see she is white and he is biracial. dumbass comment.

White people are unusually giddy over the Tiger Woods scandal. It's not like he bet on golf, slept with an intern or a staff member. He's an athlete who cheated on his wife, why is that so surprising? Athletes are not known for their moral fortitude, so that's what you get for making them your role models.

Not that I'm condoning marital infidelity, but let's get real–it's not moral but it's also not a crime, so why all the outrage? It's not like he's Your husband, Your friend, or Your relative, so why are people taking it so personally? I think the truth is that many white people are just glad to see a rich black guy fall. It proves your theory that all black men are worthless. Of course you'd never be brave enough to say it in public. You're too busy pretending to be politically correct and anti-racist. I prefer the outright racist honest by the idiot white supremacists on Stormfront and Whitecivilrights.com

I've seen so called serious journalists reporting on the Tiger Woods scandal like it's salacious gossip. Get a grip, white people. Tiger is still the best golfer in the world and another black billionaire that you helped to create. To you he's another N-word who's gotten too "uppity" and now you want to bring him down.

The other sad thing is that Tiger doesn't see himself as a black man. He sees himself as "Cablinasian". It's interesting how he put the Caucasian first when neither of his parents is white. Anyway, my point is that Tiger doesn't see himself as a black man, but clearly white people do. Maybe Tiger will finally understand that.
