Improved Black Knights try to end skid against Midshipmen
This year’s Army vs Navy odds in your sportsbook are getting behind another win for the Midshipmen, and while they should be able to cover the sports betting spread, the Black Knights won’t get embarrassed like the last two years.

- Army vs Navy odds: Navy -14
Army (5-6) was outgained 447-287 at North Texas, but five forced turnovers gave the Black Knights a 17-13 win on the road. Trent Steelman ran for 132 yards and a touchdown that won the game with 1:43 remaining on the clock, and the freshman quarterback has now run for 100 yards or more in two of his last three games, both away from home. The defense would bend, but not break, coming up with some important stops for the Midshipmen.
Navy (8-4) fell 24-17 at Hawaii, giving up late touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters. Rick Dovvs ran for 127 yards and a touchdown, and threw for another 88 yards as the Midshipmen were outgained 428-336. They also gave up 366 yards through the air, but Hawaii has long been known as a passing team, and it hasn’t affected this week’s Army vs Navy odds.
Army vs Navy odds are backing the Midshipmen by 14 points in your sportsbook, and they’ve won seven in a row over the Black Knights, who have a small, small chance at making their first bowl game since the 1996 Independence Bowl. The Midshipmen have romped over the last two seasons, winning by a combined score of 72-3. This game won’t be a blowout of that nature, as the Black Knights have a little more to play for when the game kicks off at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday. Still, Navy has too much talent for their interservice rivals, and they’ll go after Army’s 66th-ranked rushing defense with their third-ranked ground game. On the other side of the ball, Navy’s 41st-ranked run defense should be able to contain Army’s 14th-ranked attack enough to cover the NCAA football betting spread in this contest.
