@ Jerod.. Hey here is some more insight I have on this incident because I am on campus. Two players, Richardson and Edwards, approached the car demanding money. Neither of the two victims had any money on them. At that time, Jackson walked out of the store and told the other players they should leave. The victims ID'ed the car and informed police. Police pulled the car over with the three players inside and a woman driving. Marijuana and paraphernalia was found in the woman's jacket and she admitted it was hers. The so called "semi-automatic handgun" was nothing more that an air pellet gun, which is more or less a toy. The actions of these players were ridiculous and unacceptable from a college football player. Kiffin will likely dismiss Richardson and Edwards from the team. Jackson may however, catch a break for not being directly involved with the robbery. Kiffin has had a quick trigger to cut players who step out of line and will definitely deal out a punishment for this. As a UT student and fan, I have loved the attitude and swagger that Kiffin has brought to this school. I just hope we don't turn into Thug U like Miami used to be.

Thanks for the perspective Dools. I agree…I think Kiffin will boot them and use this as an opportunity to nip this kind of crap in the bud. Whether it's a pellet gun or not it is, just as you said, ridiculous and unacceptable. And completely idiotic.

Another note about it, the owner of Pilot currently has the Haslam Business building at UT named after. I guess they picked the wrong gas station. I think Jackson will remain on the team but will likely face a suspension. Unfortunately, it appears Richardson's career at UT is over, which is upsetting because of the potential he showed on the field.

That a boy Lane Kiffin…You did the right thing…There is no place for criminals in sports, and I am glad you through them off the team….GO VOLS!!!!! Were they also on drugs and robbing people to support their habits?? Makes you wonder doesn't it?
