NFL Week 10 Picks, Point Spreads, TV Schedule, and Announcer Lineup
Update: The NFL Week 17 TV schedule, point spreads, and picks post is up.
——————–
Colts-Patriots.
What else do you need to know about Week 10 of the NFL season?
Yes, I know that there are important divisional matchups like Cincinnati against Pittsburgh and…and…Chiefs-Raiders? Okay, so there aren’t that many compelling games on this week’s schedule. But I’m fine with that.
Week 10 is all about the best rivalry in the NFL: Colts v Patriots, Peyton v Brady, which Myles and I will definitely be breaking this one down later in the week.
Until then, you can see my pick for that game and my picks for all of the other Week 10 games, along with the announcer lineup, in this week’s NFL picks, spreads, and TV schedule post.
Quickly thought, before we hope into the TV schedule and point spreads for Week 10, let’s get a quick update on my record for the season…and I’m frustrated to admit that my winning percentage is dwindling a bit.
So far, pending tonight’s result (I have Denver +3), I am 5-7 for the week and now only 66-55 for the season. I was flying pretty high until hitting the skids the last two weeks (9-14).
But I’ll let you in a little secret: I’m feeling really good about this week’s games. (I’m sure that means I’ll go 2-12, but I’ll go down swinging and with confidence!)
A couple of quick things to keep in mind:
- The Texans and Giants are all on their bye.
- All times are ET.
- Some games do not have all of the information filled in as of this post being published (i.e. a few games don’t have spreads yet and the announcer assignments have not yet been announced). I’ll up date this post as soon as the information is available at the506.com.
- Point spread and over-under listings are as of Monday night, and obviously subject to change throughout the week. If you want update point spread info, or some expert advice as you make your weekly picks, below are a few helpful links.

And with all that said, here is your mood music and the Week Ten TV schedule, point spreads, announcers, free picks, and byes.

TV Schedule – Announcers – Kickoff Times – Byes
Point Spreads – Free Picks – Odds – Over-Unders
Chicago Bears at San Francisco 49ers
- Bears-49ers Date: Thursday Nov. 12
- Bears-49ers Kickoff Time: 8:20
- Bears-49ers TV Network: NFL Network
- Bears-49ers Announcers: Bob Papa and Matt Millen
- Bears-49ers Point Spread: 49ers -3
- Bears-49ers Over-Under: 43.5
- Bears-49ers Spread Pick: About a month ago, this looked like it was going to be a pretty good game. Then October happened…and the Bears and 49ers quickly slid down the NFC standings. The 49ers sit at 3-5 and haven’t won since they signed Michael Crabtree. Still, they are only two games behind Arizona, and I feel like they are playing better overall than the Bears, who are 4-4 and coming off of a shellacking against Arizona. I just can’t see Mike Singletary allowing Jay Cutler to come into his house and get a win. I like a fired up, back-against-the-wall, this-is-our-house 49ers team to grind out a win…but I’m betting it’s closer than three points. Bears-49ers free pick: Bears +3
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
- Falcons-Panthers Date: Sunday, November 15
- Falcons-Panthers Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Falcons-Panthers TV Network: FOX
- Falcons-Panthers Announcers: Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, and Tony Siragusa
- Falcons-Panthers Point Spread: Falcons -1.5
- Falcons-Panthers Over-Under: 44.5
- Falcons-Panthers Spread Pick: The Falcons are now three games behind the Saints and the Panthers were never in it to begin with. I agree with the line behind so close on this one and it’s a hard game to figure, especially since both teams know eachother so well. Atlanta has not been great against the run this year, and Carolina can certainly run the football. The key is Jake Delhomme not turning it over…which he seems to be getting better at doing. I like the home Panthers to inch closer to .500 with a win, and at least a cover. Falcons-Panthers free pick: Panthers +1.5
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Miami Dolphins
- Buccaneers- Dolphins Date: Sunday, November 15
- Buccaneers- Dolphins Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Buccaneers- Dolphins TV Network: FOX
- Buccaneers- Dolphins Announcers: Ron Pitts and John Lynch
- Buccaneers- Dolphins Point Spread: Dolphins -9.5
- Buccaneers- Dolphins Over-Under: 43
- Buccaneers- Dolphins Spread Pick: The Bucs finally got a win last weekend and will be riding some positive momentum for a change. The Dolphins have an offense that is predicated on ball control and a solid ground game, but that scares no one through the air. I think Miami wins this game, but the Bucs are good enough to keep it close than 10 points, even on the road. Buccaneers-Dolphins free pick: Buccaneers +9.5
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
- Lions-Vikings Date: Sunday, November 15
- Lions-Vikings Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Lions-Vikings TV Network: FOX
- Lions-Vikings Announcers: Sam Rosen and Tim Ryan
- Lions-Vikings Point Spread: Vikings -15.5
- Lions-Vikings Over-Under: 48.5
- Lions-Vikings Spread Pick: This is a laugher. Matthew Stafford just another interception to Seattle as you read this. The only thing that makes you hesitate is the possibility that Minnesota could pull its starters late and Detroit could get a few garbage TDs. Even if they do, I think it will only pull them within 30. Minnesota rolls. Lions-Vikings free pick: Vikings -15.5
Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets
- Jaguars-Jets Date: Sunday, November 15
- Jaguars-Jets Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Jaguars-Jets TV Network: CBS
- Jaguars-Jets Announcers: Dick Enberg and Dan Fouts
- Jaguars-Jets Point Spread: Jets -6.5
- Jaguars-Jets Over-Under: 39
- Jaguars-Jets Spread Pick: The Jets are coming off of a bye, desperately need this win, and are facing team that plays like a completely different group on the road. The Jets are going to win this game, but can they do it by a touchdown? I’m not so sure about that, and I don’t like taking a rookie QB over a veteran with that many points. Jets win, Jags cover. Jaguars-Jets free pick: Jaguars +6.5
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Bengals-Steelers Date: Sunday, November 15
- Bengals-Steelers Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Bengals-Steelers TV Network:CBS
- Bengals-Steelers Announcers: Jim Nantz and Phil Simms
- Bengals-Steelers Point Spread: Steelers -7
- Bengals-Steelers Over-Under: 42
- Bengals-Steelers Spread Pick: Both of these teams are playing tremendous football right now, and the Bengals have to be respected for the great start they have gotten off to this season. However, I don’t like this matchup for them. The Steelers will be thinking payback from earlier this season, and also will understand the importance of not dropping two games to one divisional opponent. Plus, the Terrible Towels will be going crazy and the red-hot Steelers, who now seem to have offensive balance, will be enjoying a great home field advantage. Cincinnati is likely a playoff team this year, but I think Pittsburgh wins this one going away and reasserts itself as an alpha dog in the AFC race. Bengals-Steelers free pick: Steelers -7
New Orleans Saints at St. Louis Rams
- Saints-Rams Date: Sunday, November 15
- Saints-Rams Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Saints-Rams TV Network:FOX
- Saints-Rams Announcers: Chris Rose and Trent Green
- Saints-Rams Point Spread: Saints -14
- Saints-Rams Over-Under: 50
- Saints-Rams Spread Pick: If this was at home, it’d be easy. But picking a two touchdown favorite on the road is a little tricky. The Rams are coming off of their bye, so they should have fresh legs to chase around Drew Brees and his receivers. But the Rams also have the biggest negative point differential in the league (-144)…yes, even higher than Cleveland’s…and that’s not a good formula for covering against the league’s best offense. Saints-Rams free pick: Saints -14
Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans
- Bills-Titans Date: Sunday, November 15
- Bills-Titans Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Bills-Titans TV Network:CBS
- Bills-Titans Announcers: Ian Eagle and Rich Gannon
- Bills-Titans Point Spread: Titans -6.5
- Bills-Titans Over-Under: 41
- Bills-Titans Spread Pick: The Titans are back! Vince Young is now the QB and the Titans have won two games in a row. Chris Johnson is running like’s Barry Sanders and should be able to find plenty of room against the league’s worst rushing defense. I thin the Titans continue their momentum and knock off another .500-or-worse team, and I think they do it going away. Bills-Titans free pick: Titans -6.5
Denver Broncos at Washington Redskins
- Broncos-Redskins Date: Sunday, November 15
- Broncos-Redskins Kickoff Time: 1:00
- Broncos-Redskins TV Network:CBS
- Broncos-Redskins Announcers: Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf
- Broncos-Redskins Point Spread: Denver -3.5
- Broncos-Redskins Over-Under: 36.5
- Broncos-Redskins Spread Pick: Neither one of these teams is playing particularly well right now. I think Denver may win, but in a close one. Broncos-Washington free pick: Redskins +3.5
Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders
- Chiefs-Raiders Date: Sunday, November 15
- Chiefs-Raiders Kickoff Time: 4:05
- Chiefs-Raiders TV Network:CBS
- Chiefs-Raiders Announcers: Gus Johnson and Steve Tasker
- Chiefs-Raiders Point Spread: Raiders -1.5
- Chiefs-Raiders Over-Under: 36.5
- Chiefs-Raiders Spread Pick: I don’t want to watch this game, nor do I want to waste my time typing about it. And no, I’m not taking JaMarcus Russell minus the points, no matter how many, against anyone. New rule of thumb. Chiefs-Raiders free pick: Chiefs +1.5
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
- Seahawks-Cardinals Date: Sunday, November 15
- Seahawks-Cardinals Kickoff Time: 4:15
- Seahawks-Cardinals TV Network:FOX
- Seahawks-Cardinals Announcers: Dick Stockton and Charles Davis
- Seahawks-Cardinals Point Spread: Cardinals -8
- Seahawks-Cardinals Over-Under: 47
- Seahawks-Cardinals Spread Pick: I officially have no idea who or what this Cardinals team is. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if they won the rest of their games and the Super Bowl, or lost the rest of their games and missed the playoffs. We do, however, know what Seattle is: a team only good/healthy enough to beat bad teams at home. Arizona should win in a rout. Seahawks-Cardinals free pick: Cardinals -8
Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers
- Cowboys-Packers Date: Sunday, November 15
- Cowboys-Packers Kickoff Time: 4:15
- Cowboys-Packers TV Network:FOX
- Cowboys-Packers Announcers: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman
- Cowboys-Packers Point Spread: Cowboys -2.5
- Cowboys-Packers Over-Under: 47
- Cowboys-Packers Spread Pick: This a game between two teams going in totally opposite directions. The Packers, losers to the Bucs on Sunday, are reeling as their O-line struggles to protect QB Aaron Rodgers and as Rodgers refuses to throw the ball away. Dallas, on the other hand, is red hot, coming off of a road win against Philly. So let’s see, Dallas just had a HUGE win and people are talking about them as Super Bowl contenders. GB just had a huge loss and everyone is writing them off. And Dallas is giving points in Lambeau. This just smells like a home cover to me. Cowboys-Packers free pick: Packers +2.5
Philadelphia Eagles at San Diego Chargers
- Eagles-Chargers Date: Sunday, November 15
- Eagles-Chargers Kickoff Time: 4:15
- Eagles-Chargers TV Network: FOX
- Eagles-Chargers Announcers: Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick
- Eagles-Chargers Point Spread: Chargers -2.5
- Eagles-Chargers Over-Under: 47
- Eagles-Chargers Spread Pick: Something just doesn’t feel right about the Eagles to me this year. They lost to Oakland, their play on offense has been uneven, and they still cannot convert third and shorts. San Diego, on the other hand, is quietly putting together a better start to the season than they have in recent years past. I think that this game will come down to the QBs, and the honest truth is that I trust Philip Rivers more than I trust Donovan McNabb right now. I think the Chargers win this one in a high scoring affair. Eagles-Chargers free pick: Chargers -2.5
New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts
- Patriots-Colts Date: Sunday, November 15
- Patriots-Colts Kickoff Time: 8:20
- Patriots-Colts TV Network:NBC
- Patriots-Colts Announcers: Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth
- Patriots-Colts Point Spread: Colts -3
- Patriots-Colts Over-Under: 50
- Patriots-Colts Spread Pick: There is still a Monday night game to play tonight and I am already giddy with excitement for this game. The two best QBs in the league go at it, and there is never any more entertaining drama in football than when two great QBs are duking it out. Here is the problem for the Colts as I see it: they were able to somewhat contain Houston’s passing game without Marlin Jackson and Bob Sanders, but can they do the same to Tom Brady, Wes Welker, and Randy Moss? I would definitely take the over on this one, and I would also take the Patriots. I think their offense, especially with Laurence Maroney now providing a legit running threat again, is going to be too good for the Colts next Sunday night. Patriots-Colts free pick: Patriots +3
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
- Ravens-Browns Date: Monday, November 16th
- Ravens-Browns Kickoff Time: 8:30
- Ravens-Browns TV Network: ESPN
- Ravens-Browns Announcers: Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden
- Ravens-Browns Point Spread: Ravens -10.5
- Ravens-Browns Over-Under: 40.5
- Ravens-Browns Spread Pick: Will the Browns get win #2 on the year? Will the Ravens be able to rebound from their disappointing loss to Cincinnati? Will more fans show up late or on time? Such burning questions for this one, with the most burning question being: why in the hell would ESPN subject the nation to Browns football on Monday night? Sorry, but I’m not picking the Browns to cover again until they give me a reason to do so. Ravens-Browns free pick: Ravens -10.5
