Disturbing: Rec Hockey Referees in Dallas Indicted for Child Pornography
Our friends over at Dallas Sports Fans broke a story yesterday regarding two recreational (amateur and youth) hockey referees associated with the Dr. Pepper Stars Centers who were indicted on child pornography charges.
I’m not going to get into too many of the details — you can head over to DSF to get them — but this story is a good lesson in being vigilant about who is working with your kids.
One of the men indicted for child porn, Travis Blank, worked as a coach in the midget division in 2005. Blank and fellow indictee Paul Grove have spent the last few years refereeing games in various age divisions at the Stars Centers.
