WR Injury Updates: Derrick Mason, Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams

I updated you on the RB injuries for Week 5 earlier today.  Here a few quick updates on some of the key receivers dealing with injuries as we head into Week 5:

Derrick Mason injury update – limited participation in Thursday’s practice (neck)

All signs are pointing towards Mason suiting up Sunday, but this is one to check on leading up to kickoff.

Calvin Johnson injury update – limited participation in Thursday’s practice (thigh)

MegaTron returned to practice Thursday after missing all of Wednesday, but he should be ready to go on Sunday. Johnson will most likely be receiving passes from Daunte Culpepper this week while Matthew Stafford nurses a knee injury. Culpepper used to make sweet music with Randy Moss, and Johnson is good enough to be effective with any QB.  The matchup with Pittsburgh is tough, but I still would not sit Johnson.

Roy Williams injury update – limited participation in Thursday’s practice (ribs)

Williams has been declared out for Sunday’s game against Kansas City.
