NFL Betting Odds and Picks: Vikings-Steelers, Bears-Bengals, Falcons-Cowboys

With so many NFL odds and exciting matchups every week, it seems we never run out of games to preview and picks to make. We started you off on Tuesday with three — here are three more.

Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, October 25, 1:00 p.m. ET
BetOnline.com favorite: Steelers -5.5

Everyone loves Brett Favre and the Vikings but I wonder if they’re a slightly hollow 6-0. Their list of victims so far isn’t that impressive; they can hang their horned hats on San Francisco, Green Bay and Baltimore but Cleveland, Detroit and St. Louis were absolute gifts. It’s almost criminal how easy those matchups were. The Vikings haven’t played outdoors since Week 1 and rank 24th in the NFL in pass defense. It’s hard to endorse gambling on them in Pittsburgh against Big Ben and the Steelers’ vaunted aerial attack.

Pick: Steelers -5.5

Chicago Bears @ Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, October 25, 4:15 p.m. ET
BetOnline.com favorite: Bengals -1

Remember when the Bengals spent more time in prison than the Gambino Family? Those were the lost days of the Bungles, an underachieving doormat for the league. This season had been one of redemption for Cincy until last week’s loss to Houston. Suddenly, the Bengals have no pass rush after Antwan Odom – and half their sacks – got knocked out for the season. That means Jay Cutler and the Bears can air it out. Also, Chicago’s stout run defense will be hungry for ex-teammate Cedric Benson’s head, so Carson Palmer has to step it up. Based on how he’s performed this season despite good pass protection, he doesn’t seem up to the task.

Pick: Bears +1

Atlanta Falcons @ Dallas Cowboys
Sunday, October 25, 4:15 p.m. ET
BetOnline.com favorite: Cowboys -4

Is it the Falcons not getting enough respect or the Cowboys getting too much? I assume it’s the latter since Dallas is 3-2 and playing at home. I smell an “upset”; the Cowboys’ pass rush has been terrible this season and is a big reason why weak offenses like Tampa Bay and Kansas City still moved the ball on them. How can Dallas handle Matt Ryan and the high-flyin’ Falcons if the Bucs and Chiefs can score on them? The Cowboys will put points on the board too, particularly through the running game, but I like Matty Ice and company to win a Texas shootout.

Pick: Falcons +4
