Hawks’ Toews, Seabrook Might Play Saturday
During the 2-3 loss to the Vancouver Canucks, the Hawks’ captain Jonathan Toews and defender Brent Seabrook were injured.
Both are on the injury report with upper body injuries, and the report says that they “PROGRESSED WELL OVERNIGHT, COULD PLAY SATURDAY.”
“Seabs and Johnny both presented well today,” Quenneville said after practice on Thursday. “They progressed well overnight, so it’s encouraging in those regards.”
This is great news for the Hawks. Toews and Seabrook are two very talented players, and the Hawks rely on their skill and presence on the ice.
The Hawks were plagued with dumb penalties, and a last minute defensive failure that lead to the winning goal.
“I have to get on that guy a little quicker [after the turnover] and shut down the play,” Campbell said. “Maybe you realize it’s three minutes left in a [tie] game and make sure you get pucks out of your zone.”
The Hawks fall to 5-3-1 and are now 3rd in the Western Conference. The Hawks’ next game is Saturday, October 24th at 7:30pm against the struggling Nashville Predators. Nashville are currently 14th in the conference with only 5 points.
