MSF Podcast: Week 6 Fantasy Flash with Jerod & Kurt

It’s midweek, which means it’s time for the Fantasy Flash podcast with me and Kurt.

We start the Fantasy Flash last week and got a good response, so it looks like this will become a weekly staple here on MSF.

And in the future, if you have questions that you want us to address in the Fantasy Flash, write them in the comment section of one of our fantasy football posts. In future episodes we will be choosing a couple of the best questions and discussing them during the podcast.

On this week’s Flash, Kurt and I do the usual: predict this week’s top individual scorer, provide three start ‘ems and three sit ‘ems a piece, and then discuss a few sleeper picks and waiver wire possibilities.

Among the players discussed this week: Brandon Jacobs, Jonathan Stewart, Matt Hasselbeck, Donnie Avery, Maurice Jones-Drew, Aaron Rodgers, Jermichael Finley, Jerome Harrison, Terrell Owens, Lee Evans, Jamal Lewis, and many, many more.

Enjoy. The comment section is yours for questions.

I have the Giants DST and they have done great thus far. I am able to pick up the Saints DST if I choose to. The Saints DST have been getting alot of good remarks this year! Now I wouldn't drop the Giants but I would sacrifice a reserve WR to pick up the Saints DST. Should I make the move and start the Saints this week?

Good question. I am not a real big fan of the Giants' D this week because they are going up against New Orleans. In fact, I'd kind of prefer to stay away from both D's in that game as I could see a decent amount of points being put up. If I had to choose one, I'd rather have the Saints' D this week but the Giants' D moving forward.

I went ahead and made the move. I hope it's the right decision. But I looked ahead at the Saints schedule and they got some cupcake teams like Tampa Bay and St. Louis coming up. The Giants schedule gets a little tougher so I may need to use the Saints a few times later on. Thanks for the advise. I will be listening to your podcasts every week, you guys make good points.

Ray Rice or Brandon Jacobs this weekend?

    Also…Percy Harvin (game-time D)…or Sidney Rice?

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/JerodMSF JerodMSF

I like Jacobs. Not a big fan of Rice going up against Minnesota's killer run D.

I like Rice. He's been a little bit more consistent than Harvin, and not practicing all week has me a little concerned regarding Percy.
