    Browns could win this game (remember Cleveland defeating the New York Football Giants last year in Cleveland Browns Stadium on Monday Night Football? Unfortunately, this was probably the only good game Cleveland had last year.)

    If Brady Quinn has a good game, Sunday — out guns the original gunslinger Brett Favre — it could happen. A lot depends on whether Braylon Edwards can hang onto the ball. Note to Quinn: Throw it high so Braylon can jump. He doesn’t like it thrown directly to him.

    Browns Coach Eric Man-meanie still refuses to announce the starting QB. And just to show that he is the boss, he may start Derek Anderson, Sunday, instead. I wouldn’t be surprised. If this happens, the field will be drenched in beer.

    Chris Palmer, Butch Davis, Romeo Crennel and now Mangini. Just what the Browns need in a coach: A control freak who spends too much time keeping secrets from the local media; and giving press conferences as a Belichick-wanna-be. Saying a lot of words and meaning nothing.

    @Midnight Writer,

    The truth is that if Mangini wins, he’ll be celebrated for his Belichickian tactics. And if he doesn’t, he’ll get less benefit of the doubt from the media and fans because of his arrogance and his unwillingness to discuss it candidly. It’s how things go. And we’ll just have to wait and see, and certainly at least be patient beyond this year.

    I agree that the Browns could win. Brett Favre may make some mistakes, and the Vikes may not have their top deep threat in Bernard Berrian. I’m just worried that we have no prayer to stop Adrian Peterson and that we won’t be able to establish a ground game. I haven’t seen enough of Brady Quinn yet to have confidence that he can lead us to victory against a good team when the game is shoulders. If we can’t run, it will have to be the Brady-Braylon show…and I need to see something out of those two before believing; the memories of last season are still too prominent in my mind.
