@Tyler,

I agree that we need Alexei and Danks, but I disagree on Contreras. Since he came back from his minor league stint he has become an above average pitcher again. And he comes up big in big spots, which makes him a great horse to ride into the playoffs.

We need to do something about Jose contreras hes not doing good any more but we need alexie and danks alexie is hitting and speed and danks is an above average pitcher even though id love to see halladay wearing a whitesox jersey i think we have a fantastic team already and as the saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it. p.s congratulations mark beurhle to a perfect game

As a Twins fan, I hope Halladay doesn’t end up with the White Sox. But really, only 4 or 5 teams can be in the running. The Cubs, White Sox, Phillies, Dodgers or maybe the Angels. The only one’s out there (outside the AL East) that can afford him long term. The Mets could, but they aren’t buying this season.

Has Alexei even been able to travel to Toronto in his career because of his green card issues?? Reason number one this will not and never go down.

Really though, as a fan I wouldn’t like this at all. Aren’t we winning now with the current nucleus? One game back as of today- 7/21. Sure this could help us run away with the division, but not necessarily if the slower, whiter Fields has to play third and AJ would probably have to go back to the 2 hole. Second to Pod’s resurrection, the reason the offense turned around was Alexei started hitting at the top of the order too.

If this somehow guaranteed another world series on the South Side it would be appropriate, but i don’t think it would not at the expense of Alexei.

Hopes are the key ingredient to winning the division is the young defense stops making errors and the fifth starter spot improves. Be it Richards, Colon or Garcia who are already in the organization.
