Hi I'm a 40 year old women and I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for over 2 years, I had to quit tennis lessons because the pain was too intense, I tried naproxen and paracetamol to treat the inflammation and pain, I tried also the soles inside my tennis shoes, also bought those elastic bands that go around the arch, gel soles, pain ointments, ice compresses, started pilates and yoga classes to stretch the calfs and feet, it got to the point that I was convinced that this was going to be a condition for live, but recently I was diagnosed with dermatitis herpetiformis and celiac disease, and this celiac disease was causing my plantar fasciitis, because I wasn't absorving the magnesium and vitamin c, so with a gluten-free diet and supplements of magnesium and vitamin c my plantar fasciitits has disappear, but why I wasn't told this before?

Sorry for some reason I never noticed this comment. I personally do not believe that only treatment from the activator will fix this problem. It will help however in most cases this problem will require further treatment than just an adjustment. The activator is a great way to adjust extermities and is a very effective technique, however since this problem is in the fascia I believe a more effective way is to combine the adjustment with the physical therpay. However many people can get postive results solely from the adjustment.

I had a total knee replacement in July 2008 and and in the 1% of the people who have a knee cap that does not track properly causing it to "jump". After surgery I had physical thereapy 3 times a week and was discharged from PT in November 2008. Approximately 2 mos. after, in January 2009 I began to experience pain in the achilles tendon. By May 2009 plantar fasciitis appeared and I have been suffering since then. I have been to 2 podiatrists who recommended ice, 3 difference prescription drugs and just had a cortisone injection which felt good for 2 days only. The next step they are recommending is physical therapy.

I would like to try inflammatone & magnesium at this point. How can I get it from you?

What do you know about treating plantar fasciitis with an activator? Is it effective? if so, how many treatments does it generally take?

I am sorry I have not replied to this it must have slipped through the cracks somehow. You cannot buy inflammatone from a whole food you need to get it from a doctor. If you can’t find it I can mail it to you myself. What you can get from whole foods is boswellia or ginger they help with inflammation and pain but there is a combination of all these things in Inflammatone, so it makes it easier to not have to take a lot of pills and will be cheaper. If the supports bother your feet you may not want to where them, or take them out and walk around for a while without them.

@Joan Sullivan,
I am glad the article helped you out. As for the inflammatone it is an all natural product however you can not buy it from whole foods. If you would like you can call the office and we can send it to you, or I can find a doctor in your area that may carry it. If not I can recommend some other herbs that you can buy from whole foods, however it becomes more expensive to buy them individually.

Thank you, thank you. I think your article on plantar fasciitis is going to
help me. I've had it for 9 months. Put up with it painfully for almost 3 months then in January MD gave me shot of corticosteroid. Instant relief, but came back in April. Have now had 3 sonorgram treatments from chiropractor
with leg,foot & low back adjustments & doing exercises taught. However,I have been told to do stretching exercises from the beginning and now walking, too.
This causes extreme pain later in the day off when I thought I was healing. Common sense kept telling me to do what you say in "PRICE" steps. So I'm going to do the ice thing, and stay off my feet. I have been very active on my feet all my life, but since Oct 08 it's been almost constant pain wearing me down.
I'm a herbal health nut...can I get Inflammatone from a health food store,
like Whole Foods? Thank you for verifying my instinct to stay off as much as
possible and elevation. I also had purchased custom arch supports from Foot
Solutions, but they, too, hurt if worn too long.
