@doug,

Thanks for your comment. While I do have a lifelong personal vendetta against Cubs fans, and greatly enjoy making outlandish and derogatory generalizations about then, I realize that there are many Cubs fans who do not fit the stereotype of the stumbling, bumbling bleacher bum. And, as I've admitted on numerous occasions, much of my ire for Cubs fans is courtesy of the gargantuan chip on my pinstriped shoulder at the national adoration showered on the Cubs despite their inability to earn it on the field.

I like the have fun with the whole thing here on the site...but Cubs fans like yourself, who actually respond with a reasoned and objective retort...well you almost make me feel bad! ;-)

Thanks for visiting. Hopefully the next time I post something like the link below, you'll come here and argue...because that's what blogging is all about!

JRod -

Sorry, but I beg to differ on your opinion of Cubs fans just being drunks who pity them. Totally not true. If I'm not mistaken, more fights break out at the Cell than at Wrigley. Hmmm...maybe a bunch of white trash getting in fights at bball games? How awesome!

While I am a Cubs fan, I'm also a fan of Obama and I thought it was cool that he supported his team by sporting his Sox jacket.

Best part of the whole night: Obama trotting out in his White Sox jacket. I love the irony of the Cubs being celebrated for having so many "fans" across the country (really, just drunk people who pity them), yet the White Sox have a World Series this decade and the First Fan. It is sweet justice.

And great job by Pujols last night saving the President from an embarrassing bouncer. Obama looked calm and cool...but maybe not quite warmed up enough.
