It is always good to help and I have found that in the past sports is a great vehicle to do this. I brings everyone down to the same level, for the love of the game. This summer I will be coaching baseball again at a free sports camp. After working a whole day there is nothing better than helping a kid learn the great game.

Keep up the good work JRod.

@Jimmy, agreed. We obviously don't cover swimming a lot on this site, but it's definitely important for kids to learn. Basketball, football, and baseball are great...but they don't have the potential to save your life. Knowing how to swim very much does. We were definitely pleased that Generational Equity stepped up to the plate in this way, and decided to use Midwest Sports Fans as a vehicle to get the word out. Hopefully readers will take it to heart.

I specifically remember a kid growing up who was terrible on the soccer field but swam like a fish and that is the direction he headed in youth sports. Awesome to see the approach is basic skills; would be great to see one or more in this program take off in middle or high school.
