Phil Jackson has 9 championships and one 1 COY award? This is like when Dirk won the MVP and then lost to the 8 seed in the first round of the playoffs. Also, Coach of the year is kind of a dumb award. For instance Doc Rivers won in 1999....but isn't even in the top 3 anymore. Is Rivers a worse coach now than he was then? This is one of the problems I have with the NBA awards….they should be selected after the playoffs.
