@Plough, sounds like a reasonable decision to me. If he can’t train properly, why go out there? It probably wouldn’t be a very good fight anyway.

    UPDATE:

Frank Mir has now confirmed himself (even though Dana White is claiming he and the UFC know nothing about it), that a knee injury is keeping him out of UFC 98. He said there was a problem and he had to have a scope done. Over the next 4-6 weeks the only training he would be able to participate in would be on a treadmill. No sparring or wrestling, so he has decided it better to postpone the match. Imagine that, a guy wants to be prepared before the biggest fight of his career?

The early talk is UFC 98 will now be headlined by Rashad Evens making his first title defense. Word on the street is he would either face Lyoto Machida or, if he is successful tonight, Rampage Jackson. Just keep in mind, this is all early speculation.
