And my Big Ten tourney predictions just continue to look worse and worse as Ohio State beats Michigan State to move on the championship.

Congrats to Thad Matta and the Bucks. Great win today.

@Get Smart, what are you talking about?

I picked Northwestern and Indiana to win their first round games. And then I picked Wisconsin to beat Ohio State and ultimately win the whole thing.

Damnit. Guilty as charged.

At least I got three out of the final four right...

Thanks for your visit Get Smart. Both of the Big Ten semifinal games should be really competitive. Hopefully Indiana can actually have a prayer to get there next year.

@GOPHERS ROCK!,

Not gonna happen. MSU is losing Suton and Walton but the young will improve and we have a great recruiting class. I actually think MSU will be better next year once Rowe is over the micro fracture. Sorry Gopher guy, Sparty's have your number.

@micky, I would not be surprised at all if Ohio State beat Wisconsin. That's the thing about the Big Ten this year. In a season during which Northwestern beat Michigan State in East Lansing, absolutely anything is possible. I could see any of 6 or 7 teams winning the title, and Ohio State is certainly one of them. In a battle between Thad Matta and Bo Ryan, however, I give the edge to Ryan.

But Evan Turner would definitely be the best player on the floor -- and that very well could be enough to put OSU over the top against Wisconsin. I agree that he was a POY snub. Maybe he'll be a little extra motivated to prove that this week. If so, Ohio State will be even tougher.

Trust me, it was very difficult to go on record with Big Ten Tourney predictions this year. It is really anyone's tournament, with no dominant teams but a lot of good ones.

Apparently you're not giving OSU much of a chance against the Badgers which seems strange considering the Buckeyes are far more athletic and have more capable scorers. Evan Turner was an obvious POY snub, just ask anyone affiliated with the big ten this year, and with Buford and Diebler having found their range consistantly late in the year this should turn out to be a very tough game for Wisconsin. Wisconsin isn't as strong away from the Kohl Center combined with Ohio State's strong neutral court wins this season should make them the favorite in this match up.

@Cooper, I would not be surprised at all if Michigan State won. In fact, if they played the Big Ten Tourney 10 times, I bet they'd win it 4 or 5 times. I just went with the gut on the Wisconsin pick, but if pressed to actually put $$$ on the game, something tells me I'd have to side with the Spartans. I'm a big Tom Izzo fan so I wouldn't mind seeing them win.

Most importantly, I'll be cheering like crazy for the Big Ten in the NCAA Tournament. The Hoosiers won't be dancing this year, but hopefully the Big Ten makes a nice statement and people can stop trashing the conference for at least a year.

Michigan State won't lose to Wisconsin. They are playing great right now, finally healthy, and have done well on the road all season. Tom Izzo and the Spartans are itching to hang another banner, and they will go all the way.
