Video: Nate Robinson Proves He is the Kryptonite to Dwight Howard’s Superman
In the ultimate Big Man v Little Man battle on Saturday night, diminutive Nate Robinson defeated defending Slam Dunk champion Dwight Howard in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
The winning dunk was pretty incredible. Check out the video of Nate Robinson jumping over Dwight Howard to take the 2009 Slam Dunk content title:
But Nate Robinson was far from the only player who came up with impressive dunks on Saturday night. Dwight Howard proved his freakishness yet again by pulling out a taller basket and making clever use of a phone booth as a prop. Here is the video:
Even Rudy Fernandez had a pretty sweet dunk in which Pau Gasol threw the ball off the back of the backboard and Fernandez grabbed it mid-air and dunked it. Here is the video of Rudy Fernandez’s dunk:

Yeah, I think Nate really nailed the challenge. I’ve watched the slam dunk myself and I’m quite impressed with his moves to think that he’s only 5 feet 9 and Dwight, his opponent, is way taller than him.
On the other hand, Dwight was a real gentleman to participate in Nate’s last dunk. He even said in an interview that he didn’t mind helping Nate on his last dunk because for him, everything is just for fun, no hard feelings. And he said he thinks Nate really deserves to win the challenge.
Well, for me, they are both winners in their own way.

@JayBlur27,
I agree. It was a nice showing of sportsmanship and definitely one of the better dunk contests in recent memory. It’s always fun watching the little guys one-up the big guys, and Robinson’s leaping ability is just ridiculous.
