@KVB, I don't know. They have so far. McGwire isn't even getting a sniff, but he was also pretty one-dimensional. We'll know more when guys like Sosa and Bonds are up for Hall discussion. They are absolutely first-ballot guys based on their stats and all-around production throughout their careers.

I do think you are right about ARod being able to bury some of the steroids stuff with some more big years. That's the big difference between he and the other guys: his steroid allegations/admission came in the middle of his career, not near the end or when it was already over.

Especially if he leads the Yankees to a WS title and plays well in the playoffs, (and assuming nothing more comes out...which is probably not a safe assumption at this point), he should be able to get in.

He's still a douche though.

You know if these cheaters will all get their day with the media for Hall of Fame inductions, then let Pete Rose get his day as well. Just let the media giveth or taketh away in all these cases. I don't think ARod will have as hard a time as long as he can bury the steroids thing with more years and more stats. Crushing Barry Bond's career number for HRs wouldn't hurt either. Are they really going to black ball both those guys from the Hall of Fame?
