Cleveland Cavs Schedule TV | ESPN ABC TNT | ClevelandCavaliers | LeBron JamesAs yesterday afternoon wore on, and the mourning of another awesome football season continues, I realized that it was time to stop lamenting the lack of Sunday football and turn my attention to the other great sports that are now on center stage.

And luckily, ABC provided a great showcase yesterday to pull me right into basketball.

It does not get a whole lot better than LeBron James v Kobe Bryant. While neither player was anywhere near the top of their game yesterday, the game itself (won by the Lakers) was still entertaining. And we all know that anytime LeBron James or Kobe Bryant is on the floor, it is must-see TV. When the two of them take the floor together, the sports world stops to witness two of the greatest players of their generation (and maybe ever) duke it out on the hardwood.

Immediately after the game yesterday I went searching for the next LeBron James game I would get to watch here in Dallas. We obviously don’t get them all, but I figured that LeBron and the Cavs would be on national TV plenty over the next two months as we head down the final stretch of the NBA regular season. Sure enough, I was right.

One of the reasons why this time of year is so special is that the NBA and college basketball are just starting to get exciting as the games start to take on more meaning. So there isn’t much time at all to worry about the fact that football is over — the sports world is compelled to jump right into basketball.

And then after March Madness has ended and the NBA Playoffs take center stage for a while, the baseball season kicks into high gear after basketball is over. And then football starts…

I love sports.
