@Adam, agreed. That's why I think LeBron will stay. Few cities have the intimate relationship with their sports teams like the city of Cleveland, and LeBron grew up with that. I think he desperately wants to bring a championship to Cleveland and that, ultimately, the pull of bringing a title to his hometown will prove stronger than the pull to leave for a bigger market.

I grew up in Akron and i have a deep love for Cleveland sports. I know the heart breaking moments and have witnessed my share Jose Mesa's Breakdown in the World Series, The indians being one win away from the world series multiple times and losing to Boston, Our Browns leaving and coming back only a shadow of what they once were, the Cavs losing to the Bulls in the playoffs time and again and finally "The Drive".

A person who hasn't grown up with this can't understand why it is so painful and why we still love our sports, but those of us who have grown up here know it well. I couldn't fathom a world where Lebron would leave Cleveland without bringing us at least one Championship. I don't care where his other sports loyalties lie, but he is a Cleveland fan and he proves that every day by walking onto that court and giving it everything he has and doing it with class.

Everyone who says that he will leave whether or not he wins a championship here first doesn't understand those of us from the great buckeye state.

Mike-

Wow...I think that is the most ridiculous thing I've read in a long time.

I don't really think that he is a bad example at all. What do you expect a kid who is being offered millions of dollars to do in this case? Go to college, risk getting injured and lose it all.

Basketball players don't exactly have the career span that normal people do. So, they have to strike when the iron is hot. I also thought I heard that LeBron takes classes as well.

It's obvious on the court that he cares about winning. People that only care about $$$ aren't 22-4 at this point in the season. People that only care about $$$ play like Vince Carter did the last couple of years.

There is no law that says you have to be a Cleveland Indian fan just because you were born in Akron. I don't like it either. But, it no reason to just let the best player in the NBA go to the New York Knicks.

Also, what the hell is a text write off?

Okay maybe he doesn't "cry" but I think he is a jerk....a bad example for the young kids who are told they have to go to school to get a good education and be somebody, he didn't go to college,just got by in high school, not cool. I have never seen him play and will not because I feel all or most jocks go to college .... get a diploma and then make there $$$, this guy only cares about the $$$, and as far as doing anything for the city Of Cleveland and Akron....he has to .... he has to have a text write off.....

LeBron is just one of many jocks who ruin sports with there loyalty to the all mighty dollar.....screw the fans ....

@Mike, wow.

I'm not sure I know to what you are referring when you say that LeBron is nothing but a cry baby. I don't fault him at all for entertaining the thought of going to a bigger market, and even for exploring the possibilities, but I think that most of his actions have been pretty loyal to the city of Cleveland, and I can't really think of one instance of him being jerk.

Braylon on the other hand...

Would you care to expound on LeBron being a jerk and a baby?
