Week 10 Fantasy Football Sleeper Focus | Camarillo, Green-Ellis, Mason, Curtis, Hill
It’s grind time with playoff positions being decided over the next three to four weeks. Last week I directed all of my attention to answering your questions. This week, back to some sleeper advice. Here are a few players who should still be available on waiver wires that could make a positive impact on your teams this week for bye or injury fills.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis-RB-New England Patriots. The law firm of Ben,Jarvus,Green and Ellis has been a carbon copy of Tim Hightower in Arizona. Green-Ellis has been a goal line stud, as he has a touchdown in each of his last three games, averaging 12 plus carries a game.
Derrick Mason-WR-Baltimore Ravens. I said before that Derrick Mason was Joe Flacco’s favorite target, and after last week it was confirmed. When in trouble, Joe Flacco always looks for Derrick Mason to save him. This has happened with such consistency that I feel Derrick Mason is worth a start if you need help at the WR position.
Greg Camarillo-WR-Miami Dolphins. Here’s another sleeper that the numbers do not lie about. Camarillo had 11 catches for 111 yards last week, and this week they are facing a lousy Seattle D, and are looking at the Raiders in two weeks. The Raiders are apparently going to go from bad to worse, as there are reports surfacing that DeAngelo Hall, their best cover corner, will be released by them this week. Greg Camarillo is a solid pick-up for this week and next week.
Kevin Curtis-WR-Philadelphia Eagles. Donovan McNabb’s favorite target. Kevin Curtis and McNabb torched defenses last year by themselves. Now with DeSean Jackson as a legitimate deep threat, the middle of the field will be at Kevin Curtis’s disposal. This is a great player to add for the playoff push.
Shaun Hill-QB-San Fransisco 49ers. Yes, I said it. Shaun Hill will produce this week, barring any injuries. He displayed some talent in 2007, and played well last week. As much as I love the Cardinals this year, they are generous to opposing quarterbacks.
A new addition to my weekly fantasy football focus column, I am introducing a new series to the fantasy football focus. This is where I will vent on who screwed me last week. You will love the title.
Week 9 Richard Cranium’s
Heath Miller-TE-Pittsburgh Steelers. Thanks Heath for a big fat 0. I had John Carlson on the bench who got 3, and I only lost by 2. Heath Miller has been a huge disappointment this year, and earned my Richard Cranium award for the week.
Nick Folk-K-Dallas Cowboys. Another reason for my demise last week. Folk was projected as a top three kicker going into this year. He produced 2 last week. Not his fault, but I was screwed none the less.
I will leave you on my Fantasy Football Operating Tip #2. This concerns your draft thought process.
Fantasy Football Operating Tip #2
After you select your first and second round picks and feel great about your team…. Don’t. forget about those two picks and draft your team without even thinking they are on your roster, with the exception of what week their bye week is. Far too many owners teams fall apart after they lose their first or second or both round draft picks due to injury. If you prepare your draft with the expectation that they will not make it through the season, it is bonus when they do.
Operating Tip #3 will cover ways in which to do this.
Send me your questions, or post them to this article and I will respond. See you next week.

Hi Kurt!
Who do you think is better for a third choice RB this week:
Leon Washington or BenJarvus Green-Ellis?
I also have Chicago DST…and there are only terrible options left to choose from.

I like Green-Ellis this week over Washington. Washington is too hit or miss, Green-Ellis has a TD in each of his last three starts. Chicago will do on D as well as their QB can sustain drives for the offense.
Good luck this week.
