I AM A TRUE BLUE FAN OF THE BROWNS. I CONSIDER MYSELF A DAWG AND I WOULD FIGHT FOR VICK. I WAS A FAN WHEN CLEVELAND DID NOT HAVE A TEAM, AND I WILL ALWAYS BE A FAN. I FEEL CLEVELAND NEEDS TO MAKE A REAL EFFORT TO GET VICK. YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD AND A FOOTBALL COACH, GOD KNOWS HE IS NOT A FOOTBALL COACH. UNLESS YOUR TALKING ABOUT WOODY HAYS AND THEY COULD BE ONE IN THE SAME. GOD FORGIVES AND SO DO THE DAWGS. I CAN'T WAIT FOR FOOTBALL SEASON TO START AND I WOULD BE THRILLED TO SE VICK IN A BROWNS UNIFORM. IMAGINE THE WILDCAT OPTION WE WOULD HAVE WITH VICK.

Can you imagine Vick and Calvin Johnson on the same team? Detroit cannot be put out of the picture because they have got to start taking some risks if they want to keep their ballclub in Detroit. I doubt the Panthers would grab him, but you never know. He ripped apart their great defense twice a year for a while, so if anyone knows his value it would be the Panthers. It would be fun to see him throwing to Steve Smith. I don't think the Bengals are through with Carson Palmer. He's a really good QB going through a rough season of injuries. They were right to sit him for a while till he's recovered and grab a high draft pick. And the Jags? As a Colts fan I would hate to see him twice a year, but the few times we played against Vick are lightning fast D kept him in check. I can't see him getting along with DelRio either.

The only teams that I see even considering Vick would be the Raiders, 49ers, Cowboys, and Vikings. The Raiders are the perfect fit personality wise, but they have a lot of money wrapped up in Jamarcus. The 49ers need a quarterback badly, but I don't know if he's the right fit for a Mike Martz offense. The Cowboys have proven that they will take anybody regardless of their past, so you can't rule them out even if they do have Tony Romo. If the Cowboys did sign him (which I think will be the most likely scenario), I think that they would use him as their wildcat QB, or line him up in the backfield with Romo. The Cowboys would be scary with all those weapons on the field at the same time. Any combination of Vick, Romo, Barber, F.Jones, R.Williams, Witten, and Mr. Getcha Popcorn Ready would be the most talented group of players on the field in my memory. Yikes. As far as the Vikings go, anything is better than their current QB situation. Having Vick and Peterson in the same backfield is potent, but I don't know if the Vikings would go for it. They let go of Culpepper for the love boat incident, and that's way more forgivable than what Vick did.

It's a lot of fun to speculate what's going to happen once Vick is ready to go, but we have to remember that he is still contractually obligated to the Atlanta Falcons, so they will have the first say. They could give him the Stephon Marbury treatment.

Michael Vick? Just what the city of Cleveland needs: Another felon on the streets.

If Mr. Dogshit Vick ever showed up at Cleveland Browns Stadium, Big Dawg could lead the charge of the entire dawgpound, followed by all of the mean, stray and hungry pit bulls living on garbage and junkyard scraps at the Central Police District Impound Lot -- and sic Vick.

On the other hand, fans have been talking about ridding the Browns of the old top dawg personna -- since the team has no more "top dogs", so to speak -- and return to the Brownie mascot.

If MVPee came to Cleveland to play, it is doubtful he and the dawgs could co-exist.

Given that premise, it is far more doggy-doo-able for Vick to quarterback for the Cat Species teams such as the Lions, Panthers, Bengals or Jaguars.

I still think he will end up on a NFC South team so that he can play the Falcons twice a year. The Bucs and the Panthers seem obvious, the Falcons WONT take him back and Drew Brees is the other starting QB in the divsion, and he is clearly the best of them.

Yet I'd still love to see Vick running around in black and gold. And it could happen. We all know how much Coach Payton loves to use trick plays. Imagine Vick and Reggie Bush in the backfield. If anything, Vick would be a much better WR double pass option than Lance Moore, who threw a pick on monday night.

I dont think Vick would work in Tampa. Him and Gruden doesnt sound like a good idea, and he wouldnt have any weapons on offense, just like his stint in Atlanta.

Interesting points Joe. I can't say I'm ready to start shopping for a Browns #7 yet, or that I think you bring Vick in to be your starting QB, but a guy with that kind of athletic ability would have to have some value -- if you use him correctly.

There would almost certainly be a backlash, and I'm not sure that a Midwest community like Cleveland would be the best place for Vick initially. Now, if were to play well and do things in the community to amends, he would eventually be forgiven and embraced.

But, if you do bring in Michael Vick at QB, I think you have to get rid of Brady Quinn. Quinn wants to and believes he should be a starter in the NFL -- and I think he's justified in feeling that way -- and he has waited patiently to get his chance. Now that he has it, how would he take to having Michael Vick brought in and muddying the Browns' QB waters even more? I think Derek Anderson's personality is much more suited for a guy who can be a backup and come in and win you games. If Vick is your QB, I think the controversy is much less if you trade Quinn and have Derek there as an insurance policy.

But would you want Vick over Quinn? At this point, I wouldn't. Sure, Quinn struggled a bit, but they were his first few games as a starter. I think he can be a pretty good QB and there is no way we've seen enough to definitively say he is or isn't the guy. I'd rather go through growing pains with Quinn than living through Michael Vick working off the rust.

And with all that said, all I can think about is how fun it would be to watch Vick running around in a Browns jersey scrambling for huge chunks of yards or flinging the ball downfield to Braylon. I don't know how many games we'd win, but we'd sure be fun to watch.

Very, very intriguing... There's an obvious chance of backlash from fans or well, anybody, but unless you already have Manning, Brady, Brees, or Warner, why wouldn't you want to sign this guy?

We have forgotten all too quickly what kind of an impact that Michael Vick can have on a football game. He has never had a great receiver to throw to and was still effective. Even if he doesn't have a receiver, he gives defensive coordinators nightmares trying to think of ways to stop him, or at least keep him in the pocket. And let's think about this: Michael Vick's #1 target every year and every game was tight end Algae Crumpler. Crumpler is decent, but can you imagine if he has Kellen Winslow at tight end? Suddenly Cleveland is not scared of the Ravens D, or the Steelers, or hell, anybody and KII loves being a Brown. With Vick, Lewis, KII, BrEd, Cribbs, and Harrison, Cleveland would be (gasp!) offensively complete?

And as far as backlash goes, there is nothing America (or sports fans) love more than giving a guy a second chance and seeing him redeem himself. We have the shortest memory and forgive all transgressions when someone is playing well, but are the first to bring up something from ten years ago if it relates to a recent failure. It doesn't make any sense but it's true. If Michael Vick is reinstated and allowed to play in 2009 and I was Cleveland's GM, I would be doing everything I could to sign him. It just fits. And just think about the possibilities of draft picks you could trade for with Anderson and Quinn. Both still have value, so it's the best of both worlds for the Browns. They don't lose anything this side of consistency, could stand the chance to gain a lot, and at least would be a lot more exciting to watch than they are now.

Wow, I was only half serious when I made the comment, but now I'm thinking about what color #7 Browns jersey I want for Christmas next year. Hmmmmm...

Wow JRod. I've only made it halfway through this article before I can't stop laughing long enough to read further. Did you say that if any Browns players quit or gave up early that Michael Vick would beat or kill them? Wow, man, wow. If I didn't have such a good sense of humor or worked for PETA I would be pissed right now. But it's all good. To me that is absolutely hilarious, so I'll keep reading...
