To tell you the truth, I really don't notice Romeo Crennel's weight as much as his mismanagement of the clock, playing too safe in the early games this season (going for field goals rather than chance it at fourth and one - but he has made better decisions lately.}

I also notice his grace under pressure when facing the media the day after -- and for taking the hot seat for Phil Savage who always seems halfway across the country and unavailable.

Of course we all know Phil can email!

The players like Romeo, but he is too easy on his "kids."

In contrast to Crennel were much stricter Browns coaches such as Paul Brown who warned players not to have sex after Tuesday for a Sunday game (even with their wives) because they could lose some kind of competitive edge. Brown also wanted players to hang out together and bond to foster team unity on the field.

And this story about the young and green Bill Belichick getting his first coaching job with the Browns as the Browns were on their way out of town.

In his first meet and greet with his Browns players, Belichick reportly said something like (and remember Belichick is known for his frequent use of the f-word): Look, this is my first head coaching job and I don't want you guys to make me look like an a--hole.

We all know that Romeo Crennel is overweight. It's pretty obvious. So why even state it? It's pretty much just mean and has no bearing on his coaching ability.

If all we're going to do is state the obvious and be gratuitously mean, we would call you out for being a giant towel-waving douche and then say it over and over again.

But I'm not going to do that. It would be obvious...and mean.

Well, looks like your complete lack of originality or cleverness was confirmed. Why not come up with something besides a fat joke for Romeo Crennel? I'm sure we'd all be shocked and impressed.

Well, looks like your faith in Coach C. was justified. Why not send him a congratulatory cargo of Krispy Kremes? I'm sure he'd be thrilled!

It's hard to like Romeo Crennel as a man, and I really want to see him be sucessful. Unfortunately, some of his decisions just seem to be indefensible. Let's hope tonight's game can somehow produce a major turnaround. Can't say I'm confident in it, but I am definitely hopeful.
