Brady Quinn Out For the Season With Finger Injury

       BallHype: hype it up!

Could the Cleveland Browns season get any worse?

After meeting with renowned hand specialist, Dr. James Andrews in Birmingam Ala. Tuesday, Brady Quinn and the Cleveland Browns have determined that Quinn will be out for the rest of the season due to his fractured right index finger which Quinn injured in Buffalo Nov. 17.

Brady Quinn Out for the Season with Finger Injury Despite the injury, Brady Quinn started against the Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday, but was pulled late in the third quarter after throwing his second interception.

Quinn refused to let his injury be an excuse for his 8 for 18 pass completion performance, but former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar told WKNR 850 Monday that “Quinn just did not look right” playing on Sunday.

Head Coach Romeo Crennel told the media prior to Sunday’s game that Brady Quinn would start because the Browns specialists said he was OK to go.

But when Dr. Andrews examined Quinn, he determined that the tendon had actually gotten worse and would cause further damage if Quinn continued trying to throw.

Derek Anderson, who lost his job to Quinn prior to the Denver Broncos game, is expected to start against the Indianapolis Colts at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday, the last home game of the season.

Seriously, what else can go wrong? I just don’t understand why such a black cloud has followed this team this season. (And damnit MNRC, if you even mention Romeo Crennel or donuts I’m going to Pittsburgh and buying Ben a new Harley.)

It’s just so frustrating…one thing after another. Hopefully we can somehow right the ship, have all the players rally around eachother and their embattled coaches, and play well to end the season. What else is there to look forward to?

I’m sorry to hear about Quinn.

Sorry because now I won’t get the chance to see that deer-in-the-headlights look in his face as Harrison and Woodley swoop in on him.
Sorry I won’t get to see the pick sixes and the sacks. Sorry that my team is now denied the same fun as the Houston Texans.

Today I feel cheated. Very cheated.

    Unreal Czech,

I am also sorry you will be cheated out of seeing Brady Quinn pass, run and basically fake out the Pee-burg defense, Dec. 28.

Maybe the Browns will rough up Big Ben a bit and basically bitch slap Parker.

Parker probably won’t play. He’s not exactly durable.

    JRod,

Don’t bother buying Big Ben another harley. He is such a lucky bastard. He would crash the bike to bits again and live to torture opposing defenses — esp. the Browns.

I heard that after Ben’s near fatal crash, he asked if he was in Cleveland.

Uhhh, yeah Ben. And don’t your remember? You wear Number 7 for the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, that’s it. Now, let’s hurry and get you to the stadium. You’ve got a game to play Sunday — against your former team, the Steelers.

Remember how much you hate them, Ben?

Unfortunately for Browns fans, all the pieces of Roethlisberger were put back together again and he got about 50 percent of his brain function back — which is all he needs in Pee-burgh.

As always, the banter on this site is so full of wit, I’m afraid it’s going to tip over. You guys oughta have your own blog or somethin’.
